A peculiar discovery from 2021 in the Austria Duvas Mine, where these rhodochrosites appeared in rosette shapes associated with Quartz and minor Sphalerite. Their striking resemblance to the rhodochrosites from Cavnic, Romania, is curious to the extent that at mineral shows, Romanian dealers seeking pieces for their home market sometimes get confused and believe that they are from their own country.
In any case, they are truly pretty, and this one, in addition, quite big.
Austria Duvas Mine, Morococha District, Yauli Province, Junín Department Peru (07/2021)
Specimen size: 15.4 x 9.8 x 7.8 cm

Floater Copper group of good size, twisted and partially replaced by Malachite, very characteristic of the Bou Nahas Mine.
It is one of those pareidolia-generating pieces whose shape strongly resembles that of a horse (or a dragon)
Bou Nahas Mine, Oumjrane mining area, Alnif Commune, Tinghir Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region Morocco (2023)
Specimen size: 10.3 x 8.2 x 5.1 cm
SV3180NTR
A group of large Fluorite crystals heavily coated by Quartz, somewhat larger than usual for this locality, giving them an unusual, yet beautiful appearance.
El Hammam, Ait Mimoune, Khémisset Province, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Region Morocco
Specimen size: 9.7 x 8.5 x 5.4 cm
Main crystal size: 5.1 x 4.2 cm
SV3490TBF
It is not easy to find an Erythrite in good condition. Old or very old pieces are sometimes more competitive than modern ones, although their color can also be darker.
This old piece embodies many qualities such as perfection and the abundance of crystals, and those small sharp Quartz crystals are a big help.
Bou Azzer Mines, Bou Azzer mining district, Ouarzazate Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region Morocco
Specimen size: 5.2 x 4.1 x 3.7 cm
Main crystal size: 1 x 0.5 cm

A great discovery, like the one that occurred in the Coud’a area, Mibladen, between April and May of 2019, yields exceptional pieces but also “satellite” pieces, pleasant ones, that due to the magnitude of the find, can be reasonably priced.
This is a piece on matrix, and it is in perfect condition. Its color is pleasant, and overall it is a good representative of the species for any collection, as evidenced by its previous stay in the Miguel David Martínez collection with the number 761. We will send the label to the buyer.
Coud'a, Mibladen mining district, Mibladen, Midelt, Midelt Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region Morocco (04-05/2019)
Specimen size: 6 x 5.1 x 3.2 cm
Main crystal size: 1 x 0.8 cm
Former collection of Miguel David Martínez

With a little initial confusion due to the lack of precision about the real locality, these “window” quartzes are gradually gaining recognition on the mineralogical circuit.
With their luster and beautiful architecture, they are helping to complete the already extensive inventory of minerals from the generic “Imilchil” area.
Tighiste (Tirrhist), Imilchil area, Anti-Atlas, Er Rachidia Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region Morocco
Specimen size: 6 x 3 x 3 cm
Main crystal size: 4.3 x 3 cm
SV3380TFR
Norway has some fame for the calcites from this mine. Their color, luster, and the multiple growths on the crystal faces are very characteristic, just like this piece.
Dalen-Kjørholt Mine, Kjørholt, Brevik, Porsgrunn, Telemark, Østlandet Norway
Specimen size: 6 x 5.2 x 4 cm
Main crystal size: 4.7 x 1.4 cm
Former collection of Scott Maylen

Thulite is a variety of Zoisite of which only a few crystals were known. Chance discoveries made in January 2019 in a tunnel yielded well-crystallized specimens that can be considered world-class examples and also a reference standard for this variety.
Mjønes Tunnel, Åstfjorden, Snillfjord, Orkland, Fosen, Trøndelag Norway (01/2019)
Specimen size: 7 x 5.8 x 3.9 cm
Main crystal size: 1.3 x 0.3 cm

Full of crystals, many of them doubly terminated and of good quality.
Powerful and highly aesthetic due to the contrast between the white Harmotome and the brown Calcite at the base.
Whitesmith Mine, Strontian, Lochaber, Argyll and Butte Scotland / United Kingdom
Specimen size: 6 x 5.5 x 3.1 cm
Main crystal size: 0.7 x 0.6 cm

A brilliant piece. The Siderite specimens from this forgotten locality were once a subject of debate because their appearance resembled Goethite. However, this is actually due to the presence of Goethite, which forms a thin layer covering the outer part of the Siderite “stalactites”!
As is often the case, mineral collection and preservation prove to be valuable to the field of mineralogy.
Mina Peyreblanque, Alban, Albi, Tarn, Occitanie France
Specimen size: 7.4 x 4.6 x 3.8 cm
Main crystal size: 3.9 x 0.6 cm

From a desirable locality in France comes this Pyromorphite, very fine and very elegant with its associated transparent Quartz crystals. A little luxury.
Lafont (Lafont-en-Poule), Poule-les-Echarmeaux, Villefranche-sur-Saône, Rhône, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes France
Specimen size: 2.7 x 2.3 x 1.7 cm
Main crystal size: 0.2 x 0.1 cm

Mimetite is not the most famous mineral species in Lantignié, but it's there, and within its modesty, this Mimetite is one of the most representative that I remember ever seeing from there.
Lantignié, Villefranche-sur-Saône, Rhône, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes France
Specimen size: 2.8 x 2.1 x 2.2 cm
Main crystal size: 0.3 x 0.2 cm

The Baryte in the center of the piece, the Fluorite crystals, although small, being transparent and with color zoning, which is intense in the center of the crystals: everything we love about Berbes.
Berbes mining area, Berbes, Ribadesella, Comarca Oriente, Principality of Asturias (Asturias) Spain
Specimen size: 10 x 6.7 x 4.2 cm
Main crystal size: 1.3 x 1.3 cm

From the San Roque Mine, a locality that is little known outside of Spain but which occasionally yields quite showy specimens. In this case, not so much for the Fluorite but for the 'fencepost'-style Quartz that provides a beautiful contrast.
From the collection of Miguel David Martínez, number 1630, whose label we will send to the buyer.
San Roque Mine, Alumbres, Cartagena, Comarca Campo de Cartagena, Region of Murcia (Murcia) Spain (11/2018)
Specimen size: 6.7 x 5.8 x 3 cm
