XM2640TBT
Elegant specimen composed of a matrix of tabular Calcite crystals on which are arranged thick, very aerial and arborescent Silver crystals, curved and with twisted terminations.
Comes from a gold deposit in Shandong Province in China.
Jizishan deposit, Linqu, Weifang Prefecture, Shandong Province China (±2014)
Specimen size: 5 x 2.1 x 1.8 cm
Main crystal size: 3.2 x 0.3 cm
Calcite fluorescent long & short UV
XM2220TPF
On a spherical aggregate of Calcite crystals there is a swarm of Silver filaments, some of them more developed and more isolated, enveloping the Calcite core.
Comes from a gold deposit in Shandong Province in China.
Jizishan deposit, Linqu, Weifang Prefecture, Shandong Province China (±2014)
Specimen size: 2.4 x 2 x 2 cm
Main crystal size: 1.8 x 0.1 cm
XM275ELJ
Cubic Fluorite crystals with faces and edges well defined, on a matrix of crystalline Quartz dotted with small Calcite crystals, from a mine that exploits tungsten and tin hosted in Quartz veins.
Piaotang Mine, Dayu, Ganzhou Prefecture, Jiangxi Province China (03/2022)
Specimen size: 5.6 x 4.4 x 3.7 cm
Main crystal size: 1 x 0.9 cm
XM2440EXL
Aggregate of lamellar Roweite crystals, on matrix and of good size for the species. Intergrown with each other and of a much deeper and more vivid orange hue than the specimens usually found at the locality. One of the more interesting borates from a mine that is exploited for lead and zinc.
Shijiangshan Mine, Shijiangshan village, Yinwu, Linxi, Ulanhad League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region China (04/2017)
Specimen size: 5.8 x 3.6 x 3.6 cm
Main crystal size: 1 x 0.7 cm
XM2340MAB
Crystals of Calcite (cobalt-rich variety) as growths between coralloidal and arborescent, on a rock matrix, with a gradation of color, partially covering a first generation of lamellar Calcite crystals.
Lanping, Nujiang Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province China (07/2022)
Specimen size: 5.1 x 2.1 x 2.7 cm
XM2230MAX
Druse of Calcite crystals (cobalt-rich variety) with mauve-pink tones, in a rock matrix, on a first generation of Calcite crystals which were not stained by cobalt ions.
Lanping, Nujiang Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province China (07/2022)
Specimen size: 4.4 x 3.6 x 2.9 cm
XM2230MFR
Druse of Calcite crystals (cobalt-rich variety) showing scalenohedral habits in some deeper toned crystals and globular forms of lighter color in others. Accompanied by fine acicular radiating crystals.
Lanping, Nujiang Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province China (07/2022)
Specimen size: 3.7 x 2.6 x 1.6 cm
XM2230MLM
Group of Cerussite crystals, one of them clearly dominant, twinned, very sharp and lustrous, between transparent and translucent, with external staining and iron oxide inclusions.
It comes from a Congolese mining district which produces lead, zinc and, to a lesser extent, copper.
M'Fouati, M'Fouati District, Bouenza Department Republic of the Congo (2022)
Specimen size: 6.7 x 2.8 x 2.2 cm
XM2290MEE
V-shaped twin of sharp and lustrous Cerussite crystals, with polycrystalline terminations and remnants of a matrix formed of iron oxides. It comes from a Congolese mining district which produces lead, zinc and, to a lesser extent, copper.
M'Fouati, M'Fouati District, Bouenza Department Republic of the Congo (2022)
Specimen size: 5.6 x 3.9 x 2.8 cm
Main crystal size: 5.1 x 2.7 cm
