Druse of cubic Fluorite crystals with very well-defined edges and very deep yellowish tones, with violet geometric zoning in some of the crystals on the right side of the specimen, accompanied by small Dolomite crystals in beautiful color contrast. Coming from a very classic deposit for Asturian Fluorite, the Moscona mine, although its color is not the most classic of that mine, but has different tones than usual there.

Stellate druse formed of Quartz crystals, most of them with a highly developed prism although much less developed rhombohedral terminations. A second generation of finer Quartz crystals with whiter tones adorns the center of the piece as a "pompom". Small randomly scattered aggregates of Calcite crystals complete the specimen, which comes from the Ferat Voca collection.

Quartz crystals of intense luster cover a hemispherical cavity corresponding to an ancient fossil, probably a bivalve, embedded in a matrix of marly rock formed in a lagoon. These Quartz-filled vugs are very difficult to get today since the locality is now protected and so specimens can only be obtained from old collections, such as that of Santiago Jiménez García in this case.

Group of Calcite crystals arranged in a radiating fashion, in globular aggregates, with the least developed crystals in the lower part and with a very aerial development in the upper part, with very sharply defined edges, popularly known as "dog tooth" calcite. Soft yellowish tones make the specimen aesthetically pleasing. Coming from a locality where few quality specimens can be seen today, the specimen belonged to Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 90s, assembled an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of northern Spain.

A floater that shows two main complex and interpenetrating spherical groups of Sphalerite, with well defined faces and edges. They are translucent, with marked polysynthetic twins and an intense honey color, and are joined at the base with Dolomite crystals as the matrix. A classic of Cantabrian mining from Las Mánforas, located in a spectacular setting next to the Picos de Europa National Park.
It belonged to Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 90s, assembled an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of Northern Spain.

Datolite with Quartz

Aggregate of Datolite crystals, one of them clearly dominant, with facet-like faces and very sharp edges, intense translucent luster and a soft coloration with small remnants of Quartz on the base. The left side of the specimen displays a serrated habit probably representing marks left by high temperature Calcite that has disappeared.
Of high quality for the deposit, it comes from an ophite quarry in Errigoiti, Basque Country, in which pillow lavas are exploited for aggregates.
The specimen belonged to Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 90s, assembled an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of Northern Spain.

Floater 'Pineapple' formed of Quartz crystals (jacinto de compostela variety) showing rhombohedral terminations without any prism development, and with a very uniform and deep color. It comes from Chella, in Valencia, where Triassic sediments emerge, specifically the Keuper Formation, in which these specimens are found together with the well-known aragonites.
This specimen belonged to Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the eighties and nineties of the last century, assembled an excellent collection.
