JFD177AP1: Many years ago, when specimens from the quarries of the Sierra Norte de Madrid began to be seen (almost always referred to under the generic name of 'Los Gallegos') this quality of specimen still attracted attention. Later, those quarries experienced a splendor that we could hardly imagine, and so this piece now remains as a historical relic of the early days.
Miraculously, I was able to find out that it came specifically from the Navazales II Quarry, rather than having only the generic area name of 'Los Gallegos'

JFD178AP1: The difference between pieces from the Emilio Mine and the Jaimina Mine is very subtle. But we can tell that this piece came from the Emilio because when I bought it, Jaimina hadn't started working yet, but if it weren't for that, and for the general 'clarity' of the piece, doubt could remain, especially because of those hexaoctahedral Fluorite cubes.

JFD179AP1: Sorbas has been declared a protected natural area, but I collected this piece 13 years before that, in 1976. I still remember the beauty of the place and the ease with which it was possible to get specimens like this, with reddish Gypsum crystals colored by the red clays so characteristic of that place.

JFD180AP1: One hell of a piece (for this deposit anyway). Chalcopyrite is not exactly the most famous species from the Troya mine, but this specimen, found in the first years of exploitation, shows good sharp crystals, displaying a nice contrast with the Dolomite and the Siderite that are typical there.
Of the best possible quality for this locality.

JFD181AP1: Found around 1970, this specimen is a good example of the quality of calcites from this classic mine. Although calcites with larger crystals were found there, this piece is very fine, with a matrix of Sphalerite covered by multiple well developed Calcite crystals of good transparency.

TEX30AP1: Very sharp Fluorite crystal, translucent, lustrous, with an intense and uniform lemon-yellow color, selectively covered by groups of small crystals of water-clear Quartz. Due to their color, luster and crystal size they are among the best French fluorites. A discovery due to the good work of amateur collectors and recovered in an unexpected place, the Four de Cluzel Mine, now abandoned.

TFB68AP1: Pyromorphite crystals with very sharp crystal forms, with good terminations, some of them doubly terminated. The crystals, on a Baryte matrix, have slight curvatures on the faces and edges, and have good luster with an orange-brown color in the prism and intense yellow on the terminations, a typical combination in some of the specimens from this locality.

TBB16AP1: Pyromorphite crystals with very sharp crystal forms, some of them doubly terminated. The crystals, on a Baryte matrix, have slight curvatures on their faces and edges, are lustrous, and have an orange-brown color in the prism and intense yellow in the terminations, a typical combination in some of the local specimens.
An excellent French classic.

CXR96AP1: Chalcostibite as elongated crystals with good terminations, rare in this type of specimen, and with their faces and edges defined. The Chalcostibite crystals are partially pseudomorphed by Azurite, which forms vividly colored surfaces.

Very good quality for this classic Congolese locality where good specimens of Pyromorphite are rare.

TLM46AP1: Dravite-Elbaite (Series) single crystal of good size, terminated by the pinacoid and the faces of a very flattened rhombohedron. The crystal has intense reddish reflections and, curiously, analysis has determined that it belongs to the Dravite-Elbaite (Series)

EYA26AP1: Specimen from a deposit discovered in 2017 and located at some distance from the previously known locality in Serra do Caldeirão, but with different characteristics. In this case a floater group of well-formed elongated Gold crystals, with curvatures on some of their faces and edges and with spinel-law twinning.

The deposit is no longer productive and it will be difficult for new specimens from there to appear on the market. We have analyzed these Golds and they are very special, containing 99.1% gold and about 0.5% rhodium, which is rare.

EBR90AP1: Floater Gold specimen with arborescent growths of elongated octahedral-rhombododecahedral crystals and with very sharp parallel skeletal shapes. By size, weight and quality, among the best of the find. The orefield is no longer productive and new specimens from there are unlikely to appear on the market.
We have analyzed these Golds and they are very special, containing 99.1% gold and around 0.5% rhodium, which is rare. We will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

ERB90AP1: From a recent find in the spring of 2022. Botryoidal microcrystalline growth of Chalcopyrite, lustrous and with golden metallic iridescence, on matrix, with Calcite crystals. Very unusual.
