TX89AN0: Very well-defined and sharp Acanthite crystals on matrix, accompanied by partial coatings of yellow Siderite in some areas. Also with small Proustite crystals, which add interest to the specimen. The specimen is notable both for the marked definition of the Acanthite crystals and for their occurrence on a rock matrix, a feature uncommon in this deposit.
Imiter is an important silver deposit located in the eastern Anti-Atlas, renowned for its silver minerals and associated species such as Acanthite, Proustite, Imiterite or Xanthoconite.
Geologically, it corresponds to an epithermal hydrothermal mineralization hosted in fractures and veins related to Upper Precambrian volcanic and sedimentary rocks, where metal-rich fluids favoured the formation of silver sulfides and sulfosalts.
