TRT68AO8: Group of very sharp dipyramidal Scheelite crystals, with very marked parallel growths, translucent, with good luster and an intense orange color. On matrix, with Quartz crystals and Cassiterite. The specimen comes from a little-known locality that had its moment in the years when Russian minerals were just emerging on the mineralogical market, but about which little else became known later.

SV290TFX: Globular Malachite aggregates, one of them clearly dominant, with a velvety appearance, deep green color and satiny luster, with an outer layer of a lighter tone in a matrix partially carpeted by a multitude of olive-green crystals of Libethenite, which stands out for its intense luster.
The specimen is from the collection of the Bally Museum in Switzerland, with an attached label that gives the species as “Lunnite” (old German name for Pseudomalachite). Recent analyses have confirmed that it is Malachite, whose results and old label we will send to the buyer.

DR67AC4: Aggregate of crystals that have polycrystalline surfaces and with the tapered shape typical of the samples from the locality. The sample, very aerial and esthetic, is bordered, at the base, by small Andradite crystals. The sample is from the Desmond Sacco collection, whose label we’ll send to the buyer.

MX89AK6: Elbaite crystal with very well defined faces and edges, with perfect terminal faces, with pyramid and pinacoid forms. The crystal, translucent and bright, is a different color from those known to date in this pegmatite, with pinkish-yellow tones that accompany the usual red color that is very intense on the terminal faces.

MA98AA9: Single crystals with very well defined faces and edges, one of them clearly dominant. They are transparent, bright and with a very intense color, with deeper color zoning on the terminations. On Albite matrix, they have better transparency and luster than usual for the samples from this locality.

We will ship the specimen in its original Perky box from the Robert J. (Bob) Noble collection, which also contains the label, indicating that it was in the Melanson collection.

EV57AK7: A nugget of considerable size that still retains in some areas a few rounded cuboctahedral faces, and enclosing remnants of Quartz matrix. The specimen, which comes from Michel Jouty's collection, has been depicted in the magazine Mineral Observer, vol. 24 (3) of 2019, p. 71, figure 4, in an article about Ste. Marie 2019.

FF9I0: A floater, doubly terminated and complete. It is formed by two prisms and a pyramid truncated by the pinacoid. A few years ago Wiluite was considered a variety but actually is now recognized as a species.

NFX87XXX: Group of three isometric crystals of Wadalite, on matrix, which have been replaced by Hydrogrossular–chlorite–carbonate while preserving the clean faces and edges of the original crystals, of light grayish-greenish tones. Wadalite is a rare calcium halogen-silicate with chlorine, belonging to the feldspathoid family, this uncommon mineral forms in skarn or hornfelsed limestone assemblages. Wadalite crystallizes under high-temperature conditions during contact metamorphism and calcosilicate metasomatism in chlorine-rich environments, where reactive magmatic fluids interact with carbonate rocks.
No less interesting is the provenance of this piece: The Vilyui River region, in central Yakutia, is known for its extensive alluvial deposits and periglacial formations. The area hosts important diamond-bearing kimberlite pipes and secondary mineral assemblages formed under extreme continental cold conditions.

HA29K6: The specimen is from a very uncommon locality. It is rounded but has diffuse crystalline forms on the back.

Iron in Clinopyroxene, Olivine (Group), Anorthite (variety labradorite) in an Ilmenite-rich gabbro
 

MXP91XXX: Polished section of basaltic rock, in this case a gabbro rich in Ilmenite, Olivine (group), Anorthite (labradorite variety) and Clinopyroxene, in which a group of globules scattered in the matrix stand out, very bright and with sculptural forms, of native iron, an element very rare on Earth both on the surface and in the mantle, but which in this remote locality in northern Siberia has produced very interesting specimens.
The genesis of this type of specimen is due to the presence of a carbonaceous layer in contact with the gabbro.

MA89AE7: Cubo-octahedral Sperrylite crystals, a rare platinum arsenide much desired by collectors. The crystals, which have very well-balanced faces of the cube and octahedron, are well-defined, very bright, and on a Chalcopyrite matrix.

Talnakh forms part of the Noril’sk–Talnakh metallogenic district, one of the largest magmatic Ni–Cu–PGE sulfide complexes in the world. The mineralizations are associated with mafic–ultramafic intrusions related to Siberian Traps magmatism (Permian–Triassic), emplaced within the Putoran Plateau. The sulfides are concentrated in massive and disseminated bodies, with typical species such as Chalcopyrite, Pentlandite, and Pyrrhotite, together with numerous platinum-group minerals, notably Sperrylite.

EB9G4: Magnificent! Extremely rare crystals of this scarce natural alloy of Palladium, Tin and Copper. The little crystals are on the backside of an elongated crystal of Sperrylite, very well defined and bright and enhanced by the metallic matrix.

NLR67AO5: Two doubly terminated Fluorapatite crystals with very sharp crystal forms, translucent, with good luster and a yellow-green color, on a matrix of pink Calcite.
The specimen comes from the collection of Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and '90s, put together an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of northern Spain.

TM26E4: I have never seen other Rutiles like this one. I do not know if other similar specimens exist, but I guess that if they do they would be from a "once and only" find. Everything about it is distinct; not just the form of the Rutile crystal but also the termination; and then on top of that the rather rare orange Calcite that hosts it.

EZ46F3: A new locality for Andradite that strangely has the same name (Asbestos) as the Canadian source. The dodecahedral crystals, which are very well developed, have edges that are chamfered. The color is deep and the brilliance is good. These characteristics make them notably different from Andradite from other localities.

TXA88XXX: Group of prismatic and terminated Crocoite crystals, of extraordinary and vivid red color, so deep and uniform that it stands out on a whitish massive Quartz matrix, offering a spectacular color contrast. It comes from the Berezovske gold deposit, type locality, among other species, for Crocoite, discovered and described for the first time in the 18th century and which led to the discovery of the element chromium.
The specimen, which comes from the Ángel Roldán collection, stands out both for its beauty and for the history behind the finding of a mineral in its type locality.

TP16J3: Crocoite occupies most of the specimen surface forming very plate crystals of extraordinary color and luster. Vauquelinite is, in the picture, at the right side and forms small but very well defined crystals of dark olive green color. The specimen is from the type locality and actually it is very difficult to obtain good samples from there today.

ER94AL5: Crocoite crystals with a very different habit to that of the Australian Crocoites, with a very short prism and almost equidimensional, on matrix, with small deep green Vauquelinite crystals. The specimen is from the type locality for both species.

TPA90XXX: Group of parallel tabular Baryte crystals, perfectly defined, with elongated terminations, very lustrous, and with numerous inclusions formed by small Marcasite crystals.

The Belorechenskoe Deposit is located in Maykopsky District, Republic of Adygea, on the northwestern flank of the Western Caucasus. It is a hydrothermal antimony–mercury deposit characterized by Stibnite, Cinnabar, and their oxidative alteration products such as Valentinite and Kermesite. The mineralization formed through low-temperature hydrothermal systems related to tectonic and magmatic activity within the Caucasian arc.

DC89AJ0: Parallel growth of very sharp Quartz (smoky variety) crystals. They are partially doubly terminated, transparent, very bright, with inclusions, and are on a matrix of crystallized Ferberite with small Pyrite crystals.

MBM88ASN1: A floater leafy Baryte crystal, translucent and slightly yellowish, forming clouds and internal lines parallel to the edges of very defined faces and vertices, flattened and crossed by several Stibnite crystals.
The specimen comes from the collection of Bill & Diana Dameron (number 699), whose label will be sent to the buyer of the specimen. It comes from an antimony deposit in Kyrgyzstan.
