EXPO MINERAL
SV2170CXA
Arborescent growth formed by well-defined Copper crystals showing dominant dodecahedral shapes of intense color and luster.
From a classic locality in Namibia, the specimen comes from the collection of duplicates of Carles Curto (number 1978.20), whose digital record we will send to the buyer.
Onganja (Emke) Mine, Helen Farm 235, Onganja mining area, Seeis, Windhoek District, Khomas Region Namibia
Specimen size: 5.5 x 3.3 x 1.5 cm
Main crystal size: 0.9 x 0.5 cm
Former collection of Carles Curto (duplicates)
SV2440TXX
Aerial and arborescent growth of Silver crystals with the very marked cubic forms having been preserved, and that has been completely pseudomorphed by Acanthite.
The specimen is a Moroccan classic for silver minerals, of which only few specimens are seen in the mineralogical market.
Imiter Mine, Jebel Saghro, Imiter District, Tinghir Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region Morocco
Specimen size: 7.1 x 3.6 x 2.9 cm
SV2280CJR
Pair of doubly terminated crystals of Azurite, one of them totally pseudomorphed by Malachite, arranged in a very aerial way with faces and sharp edges, and partially covered by Cerussite crystals and small traces of matrix.
The specimen, a Moroccan classic from the most splendid years of Touissit, comes from the collection of duplicates of Carles Curto (number 1989.32), whose digital file we will send to the buyer.
Touissit, Touissit District, Jerada Province, Oriental Region Morocco (±1989)
Specimen size: 4.6 x 3.8 x 2.5 cm
Main crystal size: 3.5 x 1.2 cm
Former collection of Carles Curto (duplicates)
SV21800NXF
An important piece due not only to the minerals that form it, but by the very association of both species on the same piece, which is not common. Metallic grey Nagyagite crystals with preferentially oriented growths, are implanted in a slightly pink crystalline Quartz matrix and accompanied by darker lanceolate crystals of Sylvanite.
A historical specimen, obtained at the end of the 19th century, from a classic mining district in Romania that has deposits in which gold, silver and tellurium are exploited and that is the type locality (TL) for Nagyágite. From the collection of Ignacio Gaspar Sintes whose handwritten record we will send to the purchaser.
Sacarîmb (Nagyág), Deva, Hunedoara Romania (±1850)
Specimen size: 6.9 x 4.6 x 1.1 cm
Type locality
Former collection of Ignacio Gaspar
SV2680TGA
Novelty on the market in 2022.
Arborescent Silver, very aerial and aesthetic, with very marked spinel-law twinning. It is on matrix, surrounding a rocky core decorated by Calcite crystals that differentiate it from the classic Hongda silvers.
These pieces come from a find made in a small gold working, currently closed, and from which until now there was no evidence that such good silvers had been found there.
Jizishan deposit, Linqu, Weifang Prefecture, Shandong Province China (±2014)
Specimen size: 6.3 x 3.2 x 2 cm
Main crystal size: 3.1 x 0.15 cm
Calcite fluorescent long & short UV
SV2290TXA
From a 2022 discovery in the Daye area, parallel growths of lenticular and very aerial Calcite crystals forming stacks, on matrix. They are translucent, lustrous, yellow with red Hematite inclusions and geometric color zoning that gives a very aesthetic result.
Daye mining area, Edong, Daye, Huangshi Prefecture, Hubei Province China (03/2022)
Specimen size: 5.7 x 5.1 x 3.9 cm
Main crystal size: 1 x 1 cm
