TCB98AN7: Fluorite crystals with an unusual habit, cubic but beveled by tetrahexahedron faces, translucent, with an intense violet color and on a matrix of white lamellar Baryte crystals and small coatings of Quartz microcrystals (hematoidal variety) of an intense and uniform red color.

EP70AH9: A novelty at Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines 2018. Group of very sharp cubic Fluorite crystals, between transparent and translucent, with an intense green color and very rich with inclusions. It is from a new locality found thanks to intensive prospective works for Baryte in Morocco, in which accidentally appeared also this Fluorite.

EX96AE6: A novelty at Ste. Marie 2016. Drusy growth, on matrix, of crystals with a very short, almost non-existent prism. They are extraordinarily bright and have an unusually intense and deep red color due to very fine Hematite inclusions. Among the best known, for the color, of this Quartz variety.

ET66AM0: Druse of Quartz crystals with hardly any prism faces, shiny, with a very intense hematoidal red color and geometric color zoning (with colorless and transparent edges) and partially covered by a second generation of Quartz microcrystals of a lighter color, all of which completely covers crystals of a very intense amethyst color, which was what was previously being found in this area.

EV87AL6: Lamellar and hackly growths of Silver with good luster, on a Calcite matrix, with aggregates of deformed Acanthite crystals, of grayish tones and shiny. The Calcite is fluorescent under both longwave and shortwave UV light.

ET98AH9: A novelty at Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines 2018. Group of very sharp cubic Fluorite crystals, between transparent and translucent, with an intense green color and very rich with inclusions. It is from a new locality found thanks to intensive prospective works for Baryte in Morocco, in which accidentally appeared also this Fluorite. This specimen was photographed and published as a novelty at the 2018 Ste. Marie Show in the magazine ‘Mineralogical Record’ on page 874 in the volume 49, number 6, in the magazine "Le Règne Minéral", number 142, page 20, and the magazine ‘Mineral Up’ on page 35 of the 2018/02 edition.

EC63G1: The crystals of this group are pseudo-octahedral and very aerial and they have an excellent definition and an especially esthetic disposition.

ML36G5: A group of octahedral crystals, very well shaped, aerial and, which is quite rare on the samples from Imiter, they are lustrous. All over the piece there are a lot of small red Proustite crystals.

NR56AH4: Arborescent growths, on matrix, of very sharp and bright octahedral crystals that form acute parallel alignments. A very fine sample from the Imiter area.

EF89L9: A novelty from the Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines Mineral Show. Uniaxial and parallel growth of octahedral Acanthite pseudomorphous after Argentite crystals. With very well defined faces and edges, these specimens have an exceptional luster, much better than other Acanthite specimens from Imiter we have seen before. On the back side of the sample one can see small Pyrite and Calcite crystals.

EK90AK1: The specimen of great aesthetic finesse, shows a very aerial parallel arborescent growth of sharp octahedral crystals with very well defined crystal forms.

SV2440TXX: Aerial and arborescent growth of Silver crystals with the very marked cubic forms having been preserved, and that has been completely pseudomorphed by Acanthite.
The specimen is a Moroccan classic for silver minerals, of which only few specimens are seen in the mineralogical market.

TV48Q0: A plate from a fissure of microcrystals with skeletal forms, on matrix. The piece is from an old find in Imiter, probably around de decade of the 90’ts and unusual as the habitual it has a crystalline aspect.

MA77AF2: Dendritic growth of extraordinarily elongated crystals with the very visible spinel law twins and black Acanthite surfaces. Its excellent condition of preservation in spite of the long time since it was mined (the sample is from a collection of the 80s-90s) suggests it has no embedded or interstitial mercury. It is not, then, the variety kongsbergite, the more typical Silver at this locality.

ER94AK9: Arborescent and aerial hooked growths of bright native Silver, on Quartz matrix with cuboid growths of Acanthite.
The specimen comes from the Christian Mondeilh collection (No. 0760/2006), whose label we will send to the buyer. Unlike other Imiter Silvers, it has very good aesthetics and good definition in the arborescent crystals.

TP49X2: Fissure plate of micro-crystals on matrix. The sample is from an old find at Imiter, probably around the 1990'ts. Its luster and fresh aspect suggest that it has no mercury and it is native Silver and not the variety kongsbergite, very common at this locality.

EM16W7: Very aerial laminar growth with fresh, very well marked crystalline surfaces. It is on a rocky matrix, with cleaved Calcite. Its excellent condition of conservation in spite of the long time since it was mined suggests it hasn't embedded or interstitial mercury. It is not, then, the variety kongsbergite, the more typical Silver at this locality.

TN46W5: Laminar growths of native Silver on matrix. This sample, a magnificent Moroccan classic, is preserved in mint condition in spite of the many years since its extraction, due to it’s not being combined with native Mercury (Kongsbergite), unlike what happens with the majority of the samples from Imiter.

EM94AL6: Proustite crystals with very well defined faces and edges and excellent pyramidal terminations, transparent, very lustrous, bright red with mauve tones, and with small white Quartz coatings. Excellent specimen of high quality and very representative of the locality.

EQ93T4: Spheroidal aggregates of very bright and very well defined crystals of Proustite that have a very deep red color. The sample has a very "fresh" appearance and it is on a matrix of Quartz and Siderite. Its quality is very high for the locality.

TOUISSIT


The Touissit mining area is currently closed and the old shafts are flooded with water.
It is quite possible that no more quality samples from this mine will be produced in the future.

TC180ND: A very unusual piece that comes from Touissit's remote past. Druse of lustrous Sphalerite crystals with cubo-octahedral Galena crystals, partially covered by large groups of white rhombohedral Dolomite crystals. In so many years of going there, I only saw a piece like this once.

DF86AM1: Twinned crystals with a prismatic habit, with very well defined faces and edges and excellent terminations. They are translucent, shiny, and on Galena and Dolomite matrix. A fine miniature.

JM37AF3: Very sharp twinned crystals, between transparent and translucent, with whitish phantom growths, very bright, with a golden brown color and small Galena inclusions. The tip of the main twin, is slightly rough but free of damage. The termination of one of the secondary crystals is fractured.
The sample is from the James Catmur collection (number B120/A23AC) whose label we’ll send to the buyer.

NB36F2: The tabular form to the crystals is not common in Cerussite from Toussit. The small group of well-balanced Smithsonite adds a special touch.

E14QI7: Group of fine prismatic crystals on matrix, some of them doubly terminated, and they all are completely transparent and extraordinarily bright.

ND76V7: Lattice aggregate of twinned tabular shaped crystals. They are colorless, very bright and transparent, and their morphology, uncommon for Touissit Cerussite, is similar to that of Tsumeb.

M49ZAB7: Twinned, sharp, pale brown, transparent and extraordinarily bright Cerussite crystals that fill a vug on a massive Galena matrix.

MRF28CD4: An interesting set of secondary lead minerals from the legendary Touissit. The matrix displays ancient molds of relict cubic Galena crystals and, thanks to an area of cementation, various secondary minerals derived from the initial lead sulfide, resulting in a partial coating of cream-colored Dolomite crystals on which whitish twinned crystals of Cerussite are intergrown with remnants of dark Galena and finally, a beautiful group of lustrous Wulfenite crystals with an intense yellowish color adorning the center of the piece, where they cover an elongated Cerussite crystal, larger and with a different habit and colour than the other crystals of Cerussite on the piece.

MRV92CD3: One of the secondary lead compounds par excellence: Cerussite. In this specimen it appears in its maximum splendor, with very aerial and developed crystals, with a multitude of V twins and some cyclic twins. Cream tones, very lustrous and pearly, and in matrix.
The specimen comes from the famous Touissit locality, in Morocco, and stands out for its perfection, not always easy to achieve in specimens from this locality.

TC380ET: Very well-defined Anglesite crystals, transparent, lustrous, and on a Galena matrix. Without any damage, which, for the locality, is really uncommon given the extraction difficulties in the times when the mines were working.

NB26AL5: Druse, on matrix, of elongated Vanadinite crystals rich in arsenic, with curvatures, many of them doubly terminated, with good luster and lighter in color than usual in this type of specimen.

EM96Y1: Isolated and groups of arsenian Vanadinite crystals with very well defined and slightly curved faces and edges, most of them doubly terminated. The Vanadinite crystals have an unusual tan color that contrasts nicely with the dark surface of very small Mottramite crystals coating the matrix.

TB66AL5: Botryoidal growths of small, bright, yellowish Smithsonite crystals on matrix with associated small crystals of Cerussite. The specimen is from an old find in Touissit, where Smithsonite is not a very common species, although when it does appear it is usually very bright, as in this case. This specimen has been analyzed and we will send the buyer a copy of the analysis.

N8PH5: Its prismatic crystals have a perfect crystallization, but we call attention on its degree of transparency, very uncommon, on this plumbian variety of Aragonite. It’s also interesting to enhance the contrast with Limonite matrix with little acicular crystals of Malachite. We’ll send a copy of the analysis with the sample.

MF39AF0: Very elongated prismatic crystals, a lot of them doubly terminated. They have very well defined faces and edges, with a white color and are on matrix with small Smithsonite crystals. A classic of the most glorious Touissit epoch.

TG69AL3: Aggregate of very elongated elongated crystals, with two generations of growth, the first having very elongated white crystals, with slight curvatures on the faces and edges, and a second, with reddish orange tints. A classic salvaged from Touissit‘s glorious era.

EC6F5: Very unusual for Touissit, this Mimetite (we have analyzed it) has formed small sharp, green crystals that have created semi-spherical groups across almost the whole specimen. Where one can see the matrix it is dark, which gives the specimen a mottled appearance. We will send the purchaser a copy of the analysis.

M96LH5: It is really a rare local specimen. Being a common species, Baryte is very rare in Touissit. It is a complex growth apparently forming a single crystal with smoothly curved faces and edges and slightly pinkish color. The group esthetically stands on a rocky matrix.

EFR90AP3: The specimen brings together a selection of Touissit mineralogy: with a base of octahedral crystals of altered Galena on a druse of pale pink rhombohedral Dolomite crystals, translucent and very sharp Cerussite twins, and transparent and yellow crystals of Wulfenite. Different from the specimens usually known from Touissit.
