They are on a matrix of botryoidal Goethite partially coated by small iridescent crystals of Pyrite. A very esthetic. piece from a recent find in the El Hammam area.

Group of Malachite crystals, of considerable size for the locality, with well-defined faces and edges, and a very uniform deep green color, which have grown on a hyaline and well-defined Quartz crystal.
The specimen has been analyzed and identified as Malachite, and although a pseudomorph cannot be ruled out, this possibility seems unlikely to us, given the appearance, shape, and great luster of the crystals.
The Tazalarht mining area continues to offer pleasant mineral surprises.
