EX89W2: A novelty at St. Marie 2012. Parallel and divergent aggregates, on limonite matrix, of elongated crystals that are very acute and have good terminations. They are between transparent and translucent, and are bright with an intense and uniform sky blue color.
This specimen was photographed for the ‘Ste.-Marie-aux-Mines 2012’ section of the magazine ‘Mineralien Welt’ and appears on page 85 of number 5/2012

TG6AD6: Divergent group of white translucent crystals with reddish Hematite inclusions near the base of the prisms. The crystals, with simple and very well defined forms, consist of a prism and three terminal faces of a flat rhombohedron. The piece is from a single find in the El Hammam area in 2008.

EB76AN2: Group of Calcite crystals with very sharp prisms, terminated by a flattened rhombohedron. Translucent, white and with reddish iron oxides inclusions in the lower part of the prism. The specimen comes from a fortuitous and limited find in the El Hammam area in 2008.

TM16N6: Group of white crystals of Calcite with very well defined forms. The crystals consist of two prisms of three alternating faces and the three terminal faces of a flat rhombohedron but their surfaces are very rich in polycrystalline growths. They are on a matrix of botryoidal Goethite partially coated by small iridescent crystals of Pyrite. A very esthetic. piece from a recent find in the El Hammam area.

MM26W9: A novelty at Munich 2012. Parallel aggregates of Calcite crystals with a wide pinacoidal face, a much flattened rhombohedron and a poorly developed prism that has very bright faces. This crystal habit exhibits the so called “poker chip” morphology. The Calcite is partially coated by growths of small cubic crystals of Pyrite.

NX14AK5: From a collection displayed for the first time at Munich 2019: Group of Fluorite crystals practically completely covered by small Quartz crystals that at some points have overgrown the Fluorite as “walls” extending past the edges of the fluorite, with small spheroidal Pyrites. An unusual example of Fluorite from El Hammam, from the Miguel David Martínez collection (No. 563), whose label we will send to the buyer.

EL96Y8: Group of very sharp cubic crystals, very bright as is usual in the samples from El Hammam. They are transparent, with very well defined geometric color zoning parallel to the edges forming stripes of deeper color.

EP67AL3: A curiosity. Two generations of Fluorite crystals interrupted by a growth of Quartz crystals. The first, crystalline with bluish green color, supports a group of very sharp cubic crystals with an unusual slightly pinkish color.

EP66H9: Group of cubic crystals that have green color with slight violet shades and are partially covered by small crystals of white Calcite and Pyrite. We note its spectacular color change: deep green in incandescent or fluorescent light and also green but with wide zonations of sky blue under natural light.

SV3180NTR: A group of large Fluorite crystals heavily coated by Quartz, somewhat larger than usual for this locality, giving them an unusual, yet beautiful appearance.

EE69AG5: Aggregate of very sharp crystal cubes between transparent and translucent, with a very deep green color. They have a different characteristic compared to other Fluorites from the locality: under Sun light they have a notable fluorescence, between blue and violet that, curiously, is not seen with LED light.

MEB87ASN5: New find in Munich 2024, featured in edition 56, number 1, of the Mineralogical Record magazine.
Group of Malachite crystals, of considerable size for the locality, with well-defined faces and edges, and a very uniform deep green color, which have grown on a hyaline and well-defined Quartz crystal.
The specimen has been analyzed and identified as Malachite, and although a pseudomorph cannot be ruled out, this possibility seems unlikely to us, given the appearance, shape, and great luster of the crystals.
The Tazalarht mining area continues to offer pleasant mineral surprises.

EA28AB9: A novelty at Ste. Marie 2015, a new worldwide locality for fine Erythrite! Although it looks very similar to the famous Bou Azzer ones, the deposit of this specimen is located about 500 Km. from the Bou Azzer Mine and in a different geological environment.
As far as we know these Erythrites were not known before and they come not from the Tazalarht quarries but in a new shaft/prospect located very close to the Tazalarht quarries. Related species are Quartz, Phlogopite (analyzed) and a mix of Chalcocite-Djurleite-Digenite in the matrix.

The very thin and elongated Erythrite crystals are in radial aggregates whose shape is quite different from those from the better known Bou Azzer. The crystals, on a matrix partially coated by Phlogopite (analyzed) have very good transparency, luster and color, very intense and uniform.

SM150ECE: Radial aggregates of very sharp Erythrite crystals with a slightly different habit from the better known Bou Azzer. These crystals, on a matrix partially covered with Phlogopite (analyzed), stand out for their transparency, luster and very intense and vivid color.
