NX8L6: Parallel growth of idiomorphic Baryte crystals, one of them dominant, with excellent transparency and brilliance. Their upper and side faces have very well marked triangular growth figures that give the edges a sawtooth appearance. Also we can see corrosion and contact geometric structures on some faces. We call your attention to the interesting Chalcopyrite crystal inclusions, where the original yellow greenish color is preserved, while superficial crystals on Baryte faces are covered by a thin oxidation layer. The specimen is from mining works of Aizpea, close to the La Troya Mine.

NTB12XXX: Group of lenticular crystals of Fe-bearing Siderite, light brown in colour, lustrous and well defined, forming a compact druse. The specimen displays a harmonious arrangement of the crystals, enhanced by the presence of white Calcite crystals that provide colour contrast.

Geologically, the Siderite formed from iron-rich hydrothermal fluids that circulated through fractures and cavities within the deposit, crystallizing under relatively low-temperature conditions. The Calcite corresponds to a later stage of the mineralization, having developed from calcium-rich fluids that precipitated over the previously formed crystals of Fe-bearing Siderite.

The specimen belonged to Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 90s, assembled an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of northern Spain.

The Mariquita mining group is a group of cinnabar concessions comprising Mariquita (7800), Ampliación a Mariquita (9251), Gran Canaria (10703), 2ª Gran Canaria (10752), 3ª Gran Canaria (10785), and Ana María (11198), and is located in the southern sector of Badajoz Province, within a domain dominated by Paleozoic rocks affected by fracturing and hydrothermal fluid circulation. Mineralization corresponds to a mercury deposit, developed along fracture zones and brecciated areas, where oxidation and supergene alteration processes have generated a paragenesis rich in halides, oxides, and secondary Hg species, including uncommon phases of high mineralogical interest.

TPP90CD5: Complex twinned Scheelite crystal, with polycrystalline growths, well defined faces and edges and a uniform and intense color with orange tones and good luster. This antique specimen comes from the first period of mining the La Parrilla concession, which was one of the largest tungsten mining areas in Spain.
It comes from the former collection of Andrés Jiménez Shelly.
