EP67AF7: The Olshanskyite from the Shijiangshan Mine was previously well-known for its quality, largely overtaking the best known to date for the species. But a very recent find has raised the roof of quality to unforeseen levels. From this new find we had the opportunity to select from the best samples found. They are aggregates with crystals, some of them very elongated and very well differentiated, clear, colorless and extraordinarily bright, with very sharp crystalline forms. The great quality of the pieces offered here, due their neat shape, the beauty of the aggregates and the crystal size, make them deserving to be in the best private and museum collections.

EV28AI0: Druse, on matrix, of well-differentiated elongated crystals that are transparent, colorless and extraordinarily bright with very sharp crystalline forms. On the Olshanskyite small Andradite crystals have grown. The Olshanskyite from the Shijiangshan mine was previously well-known for its quality, largely overtaking the best known to date for the species, but a recent find has raised the roof of quality to unforeseen levels. ET51AG5: The Olshanskyite from the Shijiangshan Mine was previously well-known for its quality, largely overtaking the best known to date for the species. But a very recent find has raised the roof of quality to unforeseen levels. The sample, included among the best samples found from this new find, forms elongated and very well differentiated crystals that are clear, colorless and extraordinarily bright, with very sharp crystals. They are on matrix, with Roweite and Andradite crystals with a white coating of a silicate that very probably is altered Andradite.
The specimen has been reviewed, photographed and published as a new discovery of Munich 2017 in the magazine ‘Mineral Up’ on page 62 in number 2017/2

These Olshanskyites are considered the best known for the species. ED96AB8: Aggregates of Olshanskyite crystals that are white and transparent, with a silky luster and on matrix, with Wurtzite, Andradite and Galena. The Olshanskyite crystals from Shijiangshan, that can be considered among the best in the world, have been carefully analyzed to avoid possible confusion with other similar calcium borates. The results of the first Raman analyses were not coincident with the previously published data, so their study has been supplemented with thermal and XRD analyses, whose results are coincident with those of the type samples. All of the Olshanskyite samples we obtained in 2014 are published here and we haven’t had any more notices about new finds.

The quality of the specimens is undoubtedly superior to what was previously known, both for the individuality of the crystals and for their sharpness, but also for the size of the crystals and their association with first class Olshanskyiite, which makes them deserving to be in the best private collections and museums.

XM2440EXL: Aggregate of lamellar Roweite crystals, on matrix and of good size for the species. Intergrown with each other and of a much deeper and more vivid orange hue than the specimens usually found at the locality. One of the more interesting borates from a mine that is exploited for lead and zinc.

On matrix, with radial aggregates of colorless, transparent and lustrous Olshanskyite crystals. The quality of these specimens is indisputably superior to what was previously known, both for the individualization and size of the crystals as well as for their sharpness and form, and for their association with Olshanskyite. We have had the specimens analyzed to confirm the identity of the different species and we will send the buyer a copy of these analyses.

Bulfonteinite and small transparent Imayoshiite crystals. The Shijiangshan Mine from which the specimen comes is the type locality for the new species Shinichengite.

Bulfonteinite. The Shijiangshan Mine from which the specimen comes is the type locality (TL) for Shinichengite.
The specimen has been analyzed and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer. It should be noted that previously Shinichengite had been identified as Tobermorite-Clinotobermorite, without specifying an exact species, since it was already seen that it was not so obvious what species it was. Since the vast majority of the shinichengites found are white, these pink ones were analyzed, turning out to also be Shinichengite.

TBF27AP3: Novelty in the summer of 2021 and, in all probability, the best known so far for the species. The Imayoshiite occurs as numerous sharp crystals with a tabular habit and hexagonal outline, transparent and very lustrous, directly associated with crystalline Andradite that, due to its intense color, gives a good contrast to the Imayoshiite. An exceptional specimen, worthy of any museum. These specimens have been analyzed and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

Hydroxyapophyllite-(K) with Roweite and Galena
 

TFB66CD6: Group of very lustrous and sharp Hydroxyapophyllite-(K) crystals, forming rosettes of a delicate pink tone that have grown on a matrix formed by cream-brown flaky crystals of Roweite and small remnants of Galena.
The specimen has been analyzed, giving this unusual and interesting paragenesis.
