TA48AN1: A novelty from Turkey: Spherulitic growths of Rosasite with an intense bluish green color, with small centered growths of Aurichalcite of a lighter green color, small white Hydrozincite crystals with a pearly luster, and scattered acicular Hemimorphite crystals. All four species have been analyzed and we will send the buyer a copy of the analyses. A very recent find in a mine that is also producing excellent Smithsonites and from which Rosasite had not been reported before, which gives hope for more new and interesting discoveries.

EM86AM1: Druse on matrix of twinned crystals of Cr-bearing Clinochlore (variety kämmererite)
They have a bipyramidal habit, are translucent, with good luster and an intense, deep mauve color.
A classic of Turkish mineralogy.

Kop Krom Mine is located in the Kop Dağları Mountains, in the vicinity of the town of Aşkale. The deposit corresponds to a chromium mineralization associated with ophiolitic complexes and ultramafic bodies (mainly peridotites and serpentinites), where Chromite occurs as lenses and massive, disseminated, or banded bodies. The mineralization is related to magmatic and tectonic processes linked to the evolution of the Alpine–Anatolian belt, typical of ophiolitic environments.

They have a bipyramidal habit, translucent, with good luster and an intense deep mauve color. A classic of Turkish mineralogy.

EV10AL9: A twin of two Rutile crystals with different terminations. One crystal shows well-developed terminal faces, whereas the other ends in a sharp polycrystalline growth. The longer crystal has a partially incomplete termination. The crystals are transparent, with good luster and abundant Rutile inclusions. Under focused natural light they show a yellowish-green color, becoming yellower under halogen illumination. Their dichroism, changing between soft red and green depending on the viewing direction, is clearly visible.

The Ilbir Mountain occurrence is one of the best-known Diaspore and Rutile localities in Turkey. The crystals formed in high-grade metamorphic rocks of the Menderes Massif, where Rutile is a common accessory mineral. Compared with most specimens from the locality, these crystals are quite transparent, with a distinct color response under different lighting conditions.

TAB89AO6: Complete twin of two Diaspore crystals with very sharp crystal forms, between transparent and translucent, with good luster and a yellow color with green tones, and with fibrous intergrowths and white lamellar Margarite. What differentiates them from other specimens from this locality is that they are implanted on a group of Hematite crystals with a hexagonal outline and with small Rutile crystals.

EF26AL6: A partial novelty after the Sainte Marie 2020 Virtual Show. From a classic Turkish locality but with a different morphology and color. With a vertical twin plane, the crystal has excellent terminal faces, is transparent and very lustrous, and is very fine and of great quality. With greenish yellow tones and marked dichroism, it changes color between soft red and green depending on the type of incident light and the angle of incidence of the light.

A doubly terminated and floater crystal with polycrystalline terminations that have intergrowths of Mica (probably Margarite) and small acicular crystals of Rutile. The specimen comes from a classic Turkish locality but is distinguished by its great transparency and color, an intense yellow-green under focused natural light and a more yellow under halogen light and with an easily visible dichroism changing between soft red and green tones.

Colemanites

Colemanite was one of the principal new finds in Munich 2005. Not only its color is different from the classic Colemanite, but its luster, its intense zonal fluorescence and its twinning make these high quality samples.
Another feature is the detail of two generations of crystal growth. The first one is brown and the second is absolutely clear and gemmy (colorless)

TPE1XXX: Group of Iodargyrite crystals of very considerable size for the species, with defined habit and arranged in a relatively isolated way on the matrix, which allows their morphology to be clearly appreciated. They show an intense bright yellow color, very characteristic, with good luster. The crystals develop on a ferruginous matrix, in cavities where they have been able to grow with a certain degree of freedom, something uncommon in the species, which usually occurs in more massive or less defined aggregates. This type of specimens, with well-individualized crystals and notable size, are especially appreciated among iodargyrites from the Broken Hill Proprietary Mine, known for offering some of the best specimens of the species.

The Broken Hill Proprietary Mine is part of the famous Broken Hill mining district, one of the world’s most important deposits for lead, zinc, and silver. It is a stratiform metamorphosed deposit of Proterozoic age, characterized by an extraordinary mineralogical richness and a very complex paragenesis.
The deposit is known for its wide diversity of mineral species, including Galena, Sphalerite, Anglesite, Cerussite, Smithsonite, and numerous secondary lead, zinc and silver minerals, many of them of excellent crystal quality. These associations reflect both the primary mineralization and the intense supergene alteration processes that have produced a wide variety of well-crystallized species.

The specimen, different from others due to its appearance of being in a matrix, is of high quality for the deposit, the classic Australian locality of Yinnietharra.

Parallel growths of Cerussite crystals with a prismatic shape, a color that varies between different grades of yellowish color and that are partially coated by small acicular Crocoite crystals. Traditionally such Cerussite is well known as “chrome-cerussite” but recent analyses demonstrate that it’s a regular Cerussite. An uncommon sample, very esthetic.
