MQ13AM9: Isolated Beryl crystal with a flattened prismatic habit and pyramidal faces beveling the dominant terminal pinacoid. Completely transparent, shiny, and with inclusions at the base.
We will send the specimen, which comes from the Robert J. Noble collection, in its original Perky box from that collection, which also contains the label, which shows that it was previously in the Bob Sullivan collection.

MQ46AM6: Beryl crystal (aquamarine variety) with very well defined faces and edges and perfect terminations, extraordinarily transparent and lustrous, with a pale sky-blue color. Its interior houses a curious cross-shaped crystalline inclusion for which we cannot determine the mineral species. We will send the buyer the specimen in its original perky box from the Robert J. Noble collection, which also contains the label.

TB96J8: Prismatic crystal of excellent color and very transparent which is terminated with the faces of the pyramid and the pinacoid. On an Albite matrix.

ER47K1: Crystal formed by the hexagonal prism and the terminal faces of two pyramids and a very small pinacoidal face. Transparency and luster are magnificent and the sample is very esthetic due to its included small crystals of Schorl and to the Albite matrix.

MTL87AP3: Beryl crystal (aquamarine variety) that displays a highly developed prism with dipyramid faces truncated by the pinacoid. In the upper central part of the crystal, two growth rings perpendicular to the prism can be seen. The aquamarine crystal has a uniform blue-green color and is lustrous and translucent. The termination of the crystal is very curious as it is formed by a multitude of very fine fibrous crystals that make it totally opaque if we look vertically down at the crystal from the top. It is partially embedded in a matrix of snow-white Albite crystals.

MV90L1: Doubly terminated crystal incredibly transparent and clear, without noticeable inclusions. No internal fractures that could cast a shadow over transparency. Upper pinacoidal termination is totally clear and transparent. The bottom termination forms a well defined face, but translucent. On an Albite matrix with laminar Muscovite crystals. Very elegant.

MF99AF8: Doubly terminated Beryl (aquamarine variety) crystals. They are very clear, have a very uniform blue color and are on a curious matrix, a white and very sharp floater Orthoclase crystal with small Quartz crystals.

LL93AK0: Beryl crystals (variety aquamarine) with very good definition of the faces and edges, transparent, bright with an attractive light blue color with shades of green and good terminal faces, partially coated by white Albite crystals and with a small Spessartine crystal and a leafy Muscovite aggregate. The specimen, very aesthetic, is from the collection of Philippe Morelon (number 709) whose label, which includes more information on the back, we will send to the buyer.

EA26AL8: Parallel growth of well-defined Beryl (variety aquamarine) crystals, translucent, lustrous, and with a sky-blue color. They are partially coated by platy Muscovite crystals and associated with white Quartz crystals. The rear of the specimen preserves the imprint of its contact with the matrix, probably corresponding to a Feldspar crystal that was later dissolved or detached.

Geologically, the Hunza Valley lies within the western Karakoram, where metamorphic and intrusive rocks are cut by numerous Alpine-type hydrothermal veins. Within these cavities formed some of Pakistan's finest Alpine mineral specimens.

MM37M0: Really nice Morganite crystal with a considerable size. Some of the side faces are partially peppered and covered by small Quartz crystals.
Great color, especially notable when you contrast the specimen with a white background.

The Mawi Pegmatite belongs to a field of late-orogenic granitic pegmatites emplaced within high-grade metamorphic rocks of the Nuristan region. These are strongly differentiated pegmatitic bodies, locally showing well-developed internal zoning, and are known for hosting gem-quality minerals and Be- and Li-bearing species. Crystallization is linked to volatile-rich residual fluids, allowing the growth of well-formed crystals.

TH26F2: Over the length of the prism and perpendicular to it you can see a range of different zones of green. The crystal, which is perfectly terminated by three faces of a rhombohedron, is well placed on the Quartz matrix.

TZ26AL4: Polychrome Elbaite crystal with sharp faces and edges and rich in terminal faces. Very bright and with different degrees of transparency depending on the color zones: very dark olive green at the base, lighter green in the intermediate area and colorless and transparent around the termination.

TR56I7: A curious prismatic crystal on matrix. It has a slight bend made when it was growing. The zone of torsion coincides with the change of color from green to red. The crystal is doubly terminated but one of the terminations, pinacoidal, is smooth while the other one is not so clear.

MR67M5: A novelty from the Munich Show 2008. Out of the velvety terminations of these remarkable Elbaite crystals rise three transparent light green "walls," very much resembling the Mercedes emblem when you look down the length of the crystal. The trigonal symmetry of Tourmaline is evident in this rare display of crystal capriciousness.
This specimen was photographed for the ‘what’s new at Munich 2008’ section of the magazine ‘Mineralien Welt’ and appears on page 13 of number 1/2009.

TC16H8: The prismatic crystals, very transparent and of an attractive green color, have their terminations hidden by the crystals of the matrix of 'lepidolite', which is very well defined and of a nice color, between pink and mauve.

TR1AM5: Elbaite crystal with very well-defined faces and edges, lustrous, transparent, and with clear color zoning, intense pink-magenta around the termination. It also shows partial dissolution of later recrystallized Elbaite. Coated with crystallized Albite and on a matrix of platy Albite crystals.

Stak Nala is an area located in the western Himalayas, renowned for its zoned granitic pegmatites producing high-quality elbaites (tourmalines), often bi- or tricolored, associated with Albite, Mica, and Quartz. It is one of the world’s most iconic localities for collector-grade tourmalines.

TD16F3: A large prismatic crystal, very gemmy, and with a good mix of especially attractive red tones that show very noticeable zoning. The very sharp rhombohedral faces of the tip show intense brilliance and are especially gemmy. The base is recrystallized. Really esthetic.

MF46AA8: Floater crystal with a considerable length, doubly terminated, with parallel growths in one termination, transparent and showing very well defined color zoning with dominant green, pink and yellowish areas. Near one of the ends there is a small Quartz crystal.

EC99G5: Prismatic crystal is terminated with the three faces, very sharp, of the rhombohedron. Blue color and excellent transparency, which is adequately shown by the picture.

Clinozoisite

The difference between Epidote and Clinozoisite is their chemical composition (more Aluminum in Clinozoisite, more Iron in Epidote) and no other difference (i.e. color, shape or even x-ray tests) will allow you to identify them. Only a detailed quantitative chemical analysis will allow you to separate them. Plus, it is necessary to analyze specimens from each pocket found to see if it contained Clinozoisite or Epidote.

Based on our analyses these are Clinozoisites and they are excellent, very gemmy, with a nice color, and sharp edges.

MB67L1: Parallel growth of two crystals with multiple and transparent terminations, with a very deep green color. On the Clinozoisite crystals we can see small white Calcite crystals. We’ll send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

EA97G1: An exceptional prismatic crystal on matrix of this species, with Calcite and Byssolite, which one of the ends of the crystal changes to. The compositional difference between Epidote and Clinozoisite is very little. Only by an individual quantitative analysis of percent of Aluminium and Iron can determine the real specie. Beryl (variety aquamarine) with Quartz
 

MB37AN0: Crystal of Beryl (aquamarine variety) with very well-defined crystal forms and a terminal pinacoid finely bevelled by pyramidal faces. It is transparent, lustrous, and displays an excellent, intense and uniform sky-blue colour. It is set on a matrix of Quartz crystals with very poorly developed prisms, enhancing the contrast between the two species.

Geologically, the aquamarine formed in evolved granitic pegmatites, where beryllium-rich fluids promoted the growth of high-quality crystals. The Quartz crystallized during the final stages of pegmatite consolidation from residual hydrothermal fluids, producing well-formed crystals associated with the Beryl.

ELB87ASN2: A floater Topaz crystal from Mogok, and from the early finds there. The crystal is extremely clean, with perfectly defined faces and edges. The upper termination is richly crystallized, and the base is recrystallized.
This specimen comes from Roger Titeaux, a prominent French mineral dealer specializing in gemstone-quality specimens like this one. Titeaux acted as a bridge between collectors such as Claude Guillemin, Pierre Bariand, Henri-Jean Schubnel... and the current French mineral collecting scene.

ML76P5: A crystal with very well defined faces and edges and an excellent flattened rhombohedron termination. It has color zoning, dark greenish on the base and neatly pink in most of the rest of the crystal. On matrix, with Quartz crystals, Albite and an indeterminate feldspar, probably Orthoclase. We note the locality, where Rubellite of this quality is not common.

TL17G9: Painite is surely the most important mineralogical discovery of 2006. It is a very, very rare species and, in the past, only few pieces had been found. Recent finds in Myanmar gave some few more pieces.
In the case of this sample, we must add to its rarity the extremely unusual fact that Painite is on matrix and, more, it’s with small Corundum (variety ruby) crystals. Furthermore, as detailed picture shows, its upper part is well finished. Then, considering its size, that it’s on matrix, that the piece is undamaged, its termination and the accompanying Corundum we can say it’s really an exceptional piece.
