TVM42XXX: Aggregate in a hemispherical shape of Goethite of good size and excellent development, formed by acicular crystals arranged radially, very lustrous and well defined. The appearance of the specimen suggests that both the frontal and upper terminations are natural and growth-related, and not fracture or cleavage surfaces.
On the upper part of the hemisphere there are small Chabazite-Ca crystals, also accompanied by Quartz crystals, forming an unusual association. The strong metallic-silky luster of the Goethite contrasts with the light tones of the matrix and of the associated species.

Becker Quarry is located near Freisen, in an area historically known for its volcanic and vein-type rock exploitations associated with the Saar-Nahe massif. Geologically the area belongs to an extensive Permian basin characterized by acidic and intermediate volcanism, with the presence of rhyolites, trachytes and hydrothermally altered rocks. The cavities and fractures developed in these lithologies favored the formation of alteration minerals and secondary species in cavities and fractures.
