TRB67CD3: A historic piece from a legendary California mining district. It is from the Diltz mine in Mariposa County, where a group of Gold crystals appear perfectly defined and isolated enough to allow a good view of their faces and sharp edges, in a compact Quartz matrix. They have very bright reflections and a rhombododecahedral crystal habit which is unusual for Gold.
The specimen, of very high quality for the locality, comes from the Moutet collection of Marseille and comes accompanied by an old Deyrolle label.
