TJJ47AQ1: Dodecahedral crystal of Grossular, translucent and dark orange, with smaller crystals showing the forms of the dodecahedron and the trapezohedron, translucent, lustrous, and bright orange.
The specimen comes from finds made in 2023 in the Kayes region.

The Koukouri diggings are located near the village of Trantimou, within Diakon Commune and Arrondissement, in Bafoulabé Circle, Kayes Region, western Mali. This area belongs to the West African Craton, composed mainly of Archean and Paleoproterozoic rocks, with numerous vein and pegmatite systems hosting metamorphic and hydrothermal mineralization. Around Diakon, several silicates have been found, including Grossular and Vesuvianite, formed in skarn or calc-silicate metasomatic environments.
