TGE98XXX: Parallel prismatic crystals of Witherite, whitish in color, doubly terminated and well defined —something not at all common for this species— with very visible remnants of Galena on the back of the specimen.

Nentsberry Haggs Mine is part of the historic Alston Moor mining district within the classic North Pennines Orefield, renowned for its stratabound sulphide–carbonate vein systems. Low- to medium-temperature hydrothermal circulation produced veins rich in Fluorite, Baryte, Galena and Siderite, with localized zones exceptionally rich in Witherite. The mine ranks among the world’s most iconic sources of well-crystallized Witherite.
