SV2150TAM: Pineapple-shaped aggregate formed by cubic crystals of Pyrite, with a strong luster and golden reflections, with well-defined faces and edges of the crystals, arranged on a matrix formed by carbonates, mainly Calcite with slightly scalenohedral grey crystals, and partially covered by crystals of pale cream-colored Dolomite.
The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world, which for many years yielded and still yields, exceptional pieces of Sphalerite, as well as varied combinations of sulfides and carbonates as shown in this specimen, from the ex-Ferat Voca collection.
