It is dominated by alkaline rocks (ijolites, nepheline syenites, local carbonatites and related bodies) and is a classic locality for Titanite, Magnetite, Perovskite, Aegirine, Nepheline, Sodalite, Vesuvianite and many rare Ti–Nb–Zr–REE-bearing species formed within intrusive bodies and late-stage alteration zones.
