RAY38XXX: Well-developed Vivianite crystal, with prismatic habit and defined faces, of intense dark green color, accompanied by Ludlamite crystals of lighter and brighter green color, well arranged on the Vivianite. Worth noting that Ludlamite is a very uncommon species in Trepča, and even more so in specimens with this degree of perfection, so its presence notably enhances the overall piece.
The specimen is set on a ferruginous matrix, typical of the locality, in cavities where the crystals have been able to develop with a good degree of freedom, which favors the definition of the crystal forms.

The Trepča Complex is one of the largest metalliferous districts in the Balkans. Mineralization corresponds to a hydrothermal polymetallic deposit, developed mainly within Mesozoic carbonates and host rocks affected by intense fracturing. Hydrothermal processes and subsequent late supergene alteration have favored the formation of abundant sulfides, as well as secondary iron phosphates, well crystallized in cavities and along fluid circulation pathways.
