EA56Y4: Group of intensely yellow Sulphur crystals, covering almost the entire matrix and forming a very rich and compact druse. The crystals show well-defined faces and edges, with good lustre and transparency ranging from translucent to transparent. The specimen stands out for the uniformity of its colour, the freshness of the crystals and its good state of preservation.

The area forms part of the Gulf of California tectonic province, characterized by intense extensional activity related to the separation of the Pacific and North American plates. Recent sedimentary deposits, evaporites and various mineralizations associated with arid and coastal environments are common in the surroundings of San Felipe.
