Rosette aggregates of very sharp Veszelyite crystals on matrix, with well-defined crystal forms, translucent, with good luster, and an intense and uniform color.
The Sanguozhuang area lies within the Dongchuan copper–polymetallic district, one of the most significant in southwestern China. Mineralization is mainly hosted in Proterozoic volcano-sedimentary sequences, with stratiform and vein-type sulfide bodies that have undergone strong supergene alteration. This environment favors the formation of secondary Copper and Zinc minerals, including Veszelyite, related to oxidation processes in the upper parts of the ore bodies.
