Rich crystalline mass formed by yellow and ochre crusts with very deep and uniform tones of Russellite, a primary alteration product of bismuth minerals, the element being present in the specimen as part of the original matrix. Russellite is a very rare oxide of bismuth and tungsten, and the etymology of this species takes us back to Sir Arthur Edward Ian Montagu Russell, considered one of the greatest British mineral collectors of the 20th century.
A specimen with a varied pedigree, duly analyzed, and not easy to find in mineral collections due to its rarity.
