MB9AH7: Octahedral Pyrite
Group of bright and sharp octahedral Pyrite crystals very rich in minor accessory forms on the vertexes, mainly diploid faces.
Shumin Mine, Usquil, Usquil District, Otuzco Province, La Libertad Department  Peru (2010)
Specimen size: 2.5 × 2.1 × 2.3 cm = 0.98” × 0.83” × 0.91”
.
NJ10X4: Octahedral Pyrite
A novelty at Mineralexpo (Barcelona) 2013. A druse, on matrix, of cubo-octahedral crystals with a superficial iridescent patina with dominant deep metallic yellow and blue shades and a very intense luster.
Pura claim, Carmen y Pura group of mines, Valdelapiedra ravine, Foz-Calanda, Comarca Bajo Aragón, Teruel, Aragon  Spain (01/2013)
Specimen size: 6.2 × 4.6 × 3.7 cm = 2.44” × 1.81” × 1.46”

Main crystal size: 0.7 × 0.4 cm = 0.28” × 0.16”
.
NG62X4: Octahedral Pyrite
A novelty at Mineralexpo (Barcelona) 2013. A druse, on matrix, of extraordinarily bright cubo-octahedral crystals with a superficial iridescent patina with deep metallic blue and yellow shades.
Pura claim, Carmen y Pura group of mines, Valdelapiedra ravine, Foz-Calanda, Comarca Bajo Aragón, Teruel, Aragon  Spain (01/2013)
Specimen size: 10.3 × 6.7 × 6.3 cm = 4.06” × 2.64” × 2.48”
.
GB86Q1: Octahedral Pyrite
Group of octahedral crystals with very bright and very well defined faces and edges, rich in accessory faces and polycrystalline growths on some of the octahedral faces.
Huanzala Mine, Huallanca District, Dos de Mayo Province, Huánuco Department  Peru (±1985)
Specimen size: 13.2 × 10 × 5.3 cm = 5.20” × 3.94” × 2.09”

Main crystal size: 4.2 × 3 cm = 1.65” × 1.18”
.
JL12E3: Octahedral Pyrite
Great brilliance and lots of color. I like the shape and I also like the fact that, while it is metallic, it does not look heavy.
Quiruvilca Mine (La Libertad Mine), Quiruvilca District, Santiago de Chuco Province, La Libertad Department  Peru (±1983)
Specimen size: 6.5 × 5.9 × 3.9 cm = 2.56” × 2.32” × 1.54”
.
SM120NHB: Pyrite (octahedral)
Very sharp and lustrous octahedral Pyrite crystal growths. Curiously, octahedral pyrite is quite a rarity in Spanish mineralogy, especially in this case since it comes from a little-known Aragonese locality.
Carmen y Pura Group of mines, Foz-Calanda, Comarca Bajo Aragón, Teruel, Aragon  Spain (01/2013)
Specimen size: 10.8 × 9.4 × 5.2 cm = 4.25” × 3.70” × 2.05”

Main crystal size: 1.2 × 0.4 cm = 0.47” × 0.16”

TMX90CD5: Pyrite (octahedral)
Group of octahedral Pyrite crystals, very lustrous, with very well defined faces and edges, and with golden reflections on the faces that have rough shapes, with somewhat developed and very smooth edges, and with the vertices truncated by pinacoid faces that in turn show growth striations. Of considerable size and great crystallographic complexity.
Huanzala Mine, Huallanca District, Dos de Mayo Province, Huánuco Department  Peru (08-11/2023)
Specimen size: 15 × 11.1 × 5.9 cm = 5.91” × 4.37” × 2.32”
.
CF67D6: Pyrite octahedral
Great brilliance and complex crystallography, with multiple combinations of cubes and octahedrons. It is a floater and as good as the photo suggests. Note the curious forms of the octahedral growth patterns that are present on all the front faces of the Pyrite.
Huanzala Mine, Huallanca District, Dos de Mayo Province, Huánuco Department  Peru
Specimen size: 8.4 × 8 × 9.5 cm = 3.31” × 3.15” × 3.74”

Main crystal size: 9 × 8 cm = 3.54” × 3.15”
