Groups of Herbertsmithite crystals on matrix, with a very intense and uniform bluish-green color, lustrous, with visible crystal faces for this rare copper and zinc chlorohydroxide, member of the Atacamite group. And, to add even more rarity, whitish crystals of Caracolite, a rare sodium and lead chlorosulfate, are added to the specimen, this latter species furthermore being from the type locality (TL)
The Beatriz Mine is part of the historic Caracoles mining district, one of the most important silver-bearing deposits discovered in the 19th century in the Atacama Desert.
