EXL69AO7: Elbaite-Schorl Series (variety rubellite)
One more example of the quality of the Elbaites (variety rubellite) from Beni Bouzra. Very intense color and good definition of the crystal, translucent. Rehealed at the base, with good terminations and with white Microcline.

Pair of doubly terminated, deep red, translucent to transparent, gem-quality crystals covered by a crown-like perimeter of crystals of a Feldspar species yet to be determined and whitish Quartz. Its color and brightness are impressive.

XM2480MTT: Elbaite-Schorl Series (variety rubellite) with Feldspar and Quartz
A pair of deep reddish crystals with yellowish hues at the base, embedded in a matrix of some Feldspar species yet to be determined, and Quartz and with a curious termination formed by a delicate violet rim on which a multitude of fine, dark crystals known as a "black-cap" termination have formed. Great architecture!

It is between transparent and translucent, highly lustrous, dominated by an intense red-pink color, with yellowish areas, associated with two small white twinned Microcline crystals. An Elbaite-Schorl (Tourmaline) crystal with very defined faces and edges, between transparent and translucent, shiny, with dominant brown-yellowish tones and a terminal geometric black zone popularly known as a "black cap." It is set in a white Microcline matrix, providing a clear color contrast, and where the very aerial crystal is naturally placed.

Obtained at the 2022 Munich Show. Very aerial crystal of Elbaite-Schorl (Series) with quadratic morphology, with good luster, defined faces and edges and excellent terminations, between transparent and translucent, and color zoning ranging from dark brown at the base to reddish-orange in the middle and ending with dark green at the top. It is on matrix, with Microcline, Albite and Quartz. The specimen has been analyzed and we will send a copy of the analysis of the Elbaite-Schorl and the Albite to the buyer.

Elbaite-Schorl series crystals with well-defined faces and edges, between transparent and translucent, with good luster and dominant reddish and yellowish brown tones, and a dark colored geometric zoning on the termination, popularly known as a “black cap”. On matrix, with Quartz and Microcline crystals. A curiosity worth mentioning is that we analysed the small transparent crystals on the Microcline and they turned out to be Elbaite too.
