Group of pale yellow-greenish cubic Fluorite crystals, partially coated by small Quartz crystals and accompanied by Pyrite crystals. Although the Fluorite–Quartz–Pyrite association is relatively common at the Cambokeels Mine, the main interest of the specimen lies in the presence of black Cronstedtite coatings, especially visible on one of the lateral areas of the piece. This association is much less common and provides an unusual aesthetic and mineralogical contrast.
Geologically, the Fluorite, Quartz and Pyrite formed during the main hydrothermal episodes of the deposit. The Cronstedtite corresponds to a later iron-rich phase, developed locally on the surface of the pre-existing crystals, generating the characteristic dark coatings visible on the specimen.
