TAQ12AO3: Cobaltite
Cobaltite crystal, dominated by very well defined pyritohedron, with subsidiary cube forms, aerial, relatively lustrous and on a massive Cobaltite matrix. A European classic. We will send the buyer the specimen in its original Perky box from the Robert J. (Bob) Noble collection, which also contains the label.
Håkansboda mining group, Lindesberg, Örebro, Västmanland  Sweden
Specimen size: 1.9 × 1.7 × 1.4 cm = 0.75” × 0.67” × 0.55”
.
MF46AN0: Cobaltite
Floater Cobaltite crystal of pyritohedral habit with very sharp crystal forms, bright luster, and from the most classic locality for the species. We will ship the specimen in its original Perky box from the Robert J. Noble collection, which also contains the label, which shows that it was previously in the Melanson collection.
Håkansboda mining group, Lindesberg, Örebro, Västmanland  Sweden
Specimen size: 1.2 × 1.2 × 1.2 cm = 0.47” × 0.47” × 0.47”
.
MCR66AP2: Cobaltite
Cobaltite crystal on matrix, aerial, with well defined faces and edges, metallic luster and cubic morphology. Note the locality of origin of the piece, which is not as well known as the classic Swedish locality of Hakansboda but which, although less prolific, is one of the few localities that can be compared in quality with that of the specimens from Sweden. Comes from the Thomas P. Moore collection and we will ship it to the buyer in its original Perky box.
Brazil Lake occurrence (Elizabeth Lake Mine, Espanola), Foster Township, Sudbury District, Ontario  Canada
Specimen size: 2.3 × 2 × 1.7 cm = 0.91” × 0.79” × 0.67”
.
TFA57AN4: Cobaltite
Complete pyritohedral floater crystal of Cobaltite with deformations and fine growth striations. It is lustrous and of a good size for the species and with a very unusual crystal habit, which is why we had it analyzed, and it did indeed turn out to be Cobaltite. We will send a copy of that analysis to the buyer. The specimen comes from one of the great classical localities for the species and remains in its original Perky box from the Robert J. (Bob) Noble collection, which also contains the label stating that it was previously in the Melanson collections and before that in the French BRGM (Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières).
Tunaberg, Nyköping, Södermanland  Sweden
Specimen size: 2 × 1.5 × 1 cm = 0.79” × 0.59” × 0.39”
.
RJ76M2: Cobaltite with Pyrrhotite
This esthetic sample shows three sharp and brilliant Cobaltite crystals, one of them with a good size, with dominant forms of the cube and pyritohedron. All are included in a massive Pyrrhotite matrix. We found that the crystals are not reattached to the matrix but are included in it in a natural way. With the specimen we will send the Folch collection card Nr. 11.165.
Håkansboda mining group, Lindesberg, Örebro, Västmanland  Sweden
Specimen size: 6 × 4.3 × 2.8 cm = 2.36” × 1.69” × 1.10”
