The deposit corresponds to a chromium mineralization associated with ophiolitic complexes and ultramafic bodies (mainly peridotites and serpentinites), where Chromite occurs as lenses and massive, disseminated, or banded bodies. The mineralization is related to magmatic and tectonic processes linked to the evolution of the Alpine–Anatolian belt, typical of ophiolitic environments.
