Specimen formed by a group of crystals of Albite (anorthoclase variety) with a prismatic habit, transparent to translucent, with well-defined faces and edges. They show a slight cream color with honey tones, more intense in some areas, they show internal ferruginous inclusions that provide contrast and they show the characteristic blue reflections of some transparent anorthoclases.
The Pili Mine is known for the presence of anorthoclase (variety of Albite), which appears in well-defined crystals associated with alkaline volcanic rocks. This type of alkali feldspar is relatively uncommon compared to other feldspars, and its presence in the area adds mineralogical interest to the locality.
The mineralization is situated in a volcanic context, related to igneous rocks of alkaline affinity. Anorthoclase forms under high-temperature crystallization conditions in sodium- and potassium-rich magmas, typical of evolved volcanic systems.
