Sharp, transparent crystals on a matrix of Galena that partially fills some of the Anglesite crystals. Very bright and with an especially intense yellow color. A Moroccan classic.
The Touissit Mine was a historic operation that produced azurites, malachites, cerussites, vanadinites, wulfenites, argentiferous galenas, sphalerites and other lead, arsenic and zinc minerals highly valued by collectors.
It is located in the Touissit-Bou Beker mining district, one of the most important lead-zinc areas in Morocco, with Mississippi Valley-type (MVT) mineralization that replaces carbonate dolostones.
