TG16M8: Mimetite (variety campylite)
An excellent miniature of this classic variety of Mimetite. It has well defined curved crystals, bright orange color, on matrix.
The sample is from the Thomas P. Moore collection whose label will be sent to the buyer.

NB97T1: Mimetite (variety campylite)
Typical barrel-shaped crystals, on matrix, with very pronounced curvatures of faces and edges that give the crystals an almost globular shape. The bigger crystals are orange and the smaller are yellow.
The sample is with a curious and detailed label from Harrods (London), that we’ll send to the buyer. The number "SUT 79" means that it was a Ralph Sutcliffe specimen.

VB68Y9: Mimetite (variety campylite) on Quartz
Unusually isolated Mimetite (variety campylite) crystals that have extraordinarily curved faces and edges and a very well defined “barrel-shape.” They are very bright, have an intense and vivid orange color and are on a Quartz matrix.

TRM68AP7: Mimetite (variety campylite) with Baryte
Mimetite crystals of very good size, with a rounded, almost spherical habit (variety campylite) but with easily recognizable crystal forms. They have good luster, orange color, and are on matrix, with white lamellar Baryte crystals. The specimen comes from the old collection of Robert-Auguste Touchon and attached on the back has an old handwritten label with details of the specimen.

NC67AL5: Mimetite (variety campylite) with Goethite
Group of crystals of Mimetite (variety campylite) on matrix, with Goethite, a barrel habit and with very marked curvatures of the faces and edges to give almost globular shapes. Deep orange in color and very bright, it comes from the locality best known for this variety.

CRT27AO8: Mimetite (variety campylite) with Quartz
Mimetite, as isolated crystals or small groups, almost spherical due to the strong curvatures of the faces and edges, with good luster and an intense and uniform yellow color, on a matrix of white Quartz crystals. An English classic that comes from Carlos Curto's collection of duplicates (number 1983.31), whose label we will send to the buyer.

HM380EE: Mimetite (variety Chromium-rich) on Cerussite
Reticulated Cerussite aggregates with cyclic twins. The Cerussite crystals, between lamellar and tabular, are outlined by very fine and sharp elongated microcrystals of Mimetite with a very vivid orange-red color. These Mimetites have been analyzed in detail and turned out to be the rare chromium-bearing variety. We will send a copy of the analyses to the buyer of the specimen.

TC43MZX: Mimetite (variety Chromium-rich) with Cerussite
Aggregates with cyclic twins of Cerussite crystals, between lamellar and tabular, finely outlined by prismatic microcrystals of Mimetite, very fine and sharp, with a very vivid orange-red color. These Mimetites were analyzed in detail and turned out to be the rare chromium-bearing variety. We will send a copy of the analyses to the buyer of the specimen.

NB14AD2: Mimetite coating Galena and on Baryte
Millimetric Mimetite crystals, well defined, translucent, of a greenish yellow color and formed by an elongated prism and an acute dipyramid. The Mimetite completely covers the cubic Galena crystals that are implanted on a matrix of white lenticular Baryte crystals. The Mimetite was already a known species in the mine, but not with this presentation, so well defined, and completely covering the Galena. The Mimetite has been analyzed. The Atrevida Mine is a vein-type exploitation hosted in Paleozoic materials of the southern sector of the Catalan Coastal Range. The mineralization is associated with low- to medium-temperature hydrothermal processes, with the presence of copper, lead and zinc sulfides, and the development of secondary species in the oxidation zone, with Mimetite standing out among them.

NL12AC3: Mimetite coating Galena and with Baryte
An important find this last summer of 2015 uncovered a single geode in the well-known and old Atrevida mine, with crusts of very well defined Mimetite crystals. They are millimetric in size, very well defined and translucent with a greenish-yellow color and they show an elongated prism and an acute dipyramid. The Mimetite is more or less completely coating isolated or grouped cubic Galena crystals that are implanted on a matrix upholstered by aggregates of lenticular white Baryte crystals. Furthermore most of the samples have small Pyromorphite aggregates and laminar Wulfenite crystals that can be observed by close inspection. The Mimetite from this mine was already known, but not with this so well defined and fine presentation, completely coating the Galena and absent on the Baryte.

TGB68AN4: Mimetite on Quartz
Very aerial group of slightly tapered Mimetite crystals, many of them doubly terminated, with good luster and a uniform brown color, on matrix, with small Quartz crystals. The specimen comes from a little-known locality for the species and is of excellent quality for what was found there.

MG46AA9: Mimetite on Quartz
Aggregates and single Mimetite crystals, some of them doubly terminated, with very well defined faces and edges, very bright and on a Quartz matrix. From a locality that has not produced good samples for years.
This sample has been noted and photographed in the Mineralogical Record magazine (November-December 2017, pg. 739)

EX97H1: Mimetite on Smithsonite
Crystals, forming divergent sprays, have very well defined prism and pyramid, free of curvatures and deformations. They are transparent and have a vivid yellow color outstanding on the white Smithsonite matrix. The sample has a high quality and is from Martin Zinn collection.

TM62AE1: Mimetite with Azurite and Wulfenite
Very aerial microcrystalline growth of elongated Mimetite crystals that are bright and have a very vivid yellow color with platy Wulfenite that has the same color, plus aggregates of very bright Azurite crystals. A fine miniature, very representative of the occasional local finds in areas around Bou Bekker.
