They have very well defined faces and edges, are extraordinarily bright and some of them are very individualized. They are on a matrix of Quartz crystals.

A novelty at St. Marie 2012. Drusy growth, on matrix, of short disphenoidal crystals of Chalcopyrite. They have a second phase of crystallization, of granular aspect, that coats the faces of the first crystalline growth. They are with comb-shaped growths of Quartz crystals.

A novelty at St. Marie 2012. Irregular aggregates of short disphenoidal crystals of Chalcopyrite with a false appearance of the tetrahedron. They have very well defined faces and edges, are extraordinarily bright, partially iridescent in some areas on the sample, and some of them are very individualized. They are on matrix, with Quartz crystals.

An excellent and classic example from the Tincroft Mine. A group of well defined crystals on a perfectly sized matrix. It was bought from Sir Arthur Russell in 1926.
The specimen has been published in the magazine ‘extraLAPIS’ on page 54, number 57, "Cornwall & Devon" and for the magazine ‘Lapis‘, page 8, Jan/Feb 2025

TBJ14AN7: Chalcopyrite with Quartz and Calcite
Twinned Chalcopyrite crystals with the dominant forms of the bisphenoid, very sharp, lustrous, and partially covered by small Quartz crystals and spheroidal aggregates of Calcite microcrystals. A classic specimen from Cavnic, where good specimens of Chalcopyrite are rare. We will ship the specimen in its original Perky box from the Robert J. Noble collection, which also contains the label, which shows that it was previously in the Melanson collection.

Very sharp disphenoidal Chalcopyrite crystals with a pseudotetrahedral shape, some of them with very well defined parallel growths. They are very bright and are on a matrix with Dolomite, Calcite and Quartz. The sample has been sawed on the lower part to reduce the matrix. This kind of Chalcopyrite was not known at the locality until now.

The Chalcopyrite has grown paragenetically with a group of translucent, bright and dark brown lenticular Siderite crystals.

MX54AI0: Chalcopyrite with Siderite
Complex growths of disphenoidal Chalcopyrite crystals that have the false appearance of a tetrahedron, with very well defined faces and edges and extraordinarily bright. The Chalcopyrite has grown paragenetically with a group of lenticular Siderite crystals that are translucent, bright and have a dark brown color. The sample is undamaged, something unusual because most of the samples from this mine are usually more or less broken.

Sharp short disphenoidal Chalcopyrite crystals with a false appearance of the tetrahedron. They have parallel growths, are extraordinarily bright and have very well defined faces and edges. They are on matrix with brown strongly flattened lenticular Siderite crystals and with small white Dolomite crystals and colorless crystals of Calcite on the back.

EM99W2: Chalcopyrite with Siderite
Short disphenoidal crystals of Chalcopyrite, with a false appearance of the tetrahedron, with very well defined faces and edges and very bright. They have a considerable size and have grown paragenetically with a group of dark brown lenticular crystals of Siderite, translucent and bright. They have some minor damage on some edges, the least that we have been able to obtain because these samples usually are badly broken.

Short diesphenoidal crystals of Chalcopyrite, with a false appearance of tetrahedron, with very well defined faces and edges and very bright. They are on a matrix of dark brown lenticular crystals of Siderite translucent and bright. They have some minor damages on some edges, the really minimal that we have achieved to obtain due to these samples usually are clearly broken.
