A true classic of European mineralogy, which comes from the collection of Michel Perraudin (number 055) and is accompanied by a handwritten note stating that it was obtained in an exchange with the Cracow Mineralogical Group in 1993.

SM230TFJ: Cerussite on Galena

Cerussite crystals with a prismatic habit, with excellent terminations, translucent and lustrous, on a matrix of granular Galena. This type of crystallization is very unusual in specimens from this mine, which makes it different from other Touissit cerussites.

NRF89AN8: Cerussite on Goethite

Cyclic twins of second generation yellowish white tabular crystals of Cerussite, with very sharp and translucent crystal forms that contrast with the Goethite matrix that presents low iridescence with mostly reddish brown colors. This specimen comes from the Miguel David Martínez collection (number 822), whose label we will send to the buyer.

Cyclic twins of very sharp, transparent, colorless, lustrous crystals, in a very unusual matrix formed of fine stalactitic growths of Quartz microcrystals with inclusions of Goethite. This extraordinarily aesthetic specimen is a rarity since it comes from a unique find in 2003 and has not been found since.

EB66F9: Cerussite on Quartz with Goethite inclusions

Good quality Cerussits, not so long ago, were relatively common from Touissit and Mibladen, two of the biggest classic localities in Morocco. Samples from Taouz are much more difficult to find. This one is a group of twinned Cerussite crystals with a silky aspect and excellent development on matrix.

Multiple radial twinned white Cerussite crystals, a fine quality for this locality, excellent brilliance and on an uncommon matrix formed by concretions of micro-crystals of Quartz.

JFD80AO0: Cerussite on Quartz with iron oxides inclusions

Less famous than Touissit or Mibladen, Taouz cerussites can be attractive too. In this case, although the very aerial crystals are small, their snow-white color contrasts with the dark matrix in which there are small Quartz crystals with inclusions of iron oxides.

MA47H1: Cerussite with Anglesite

White microcrystals of Cerussite are covering tabular crystals of Anglesite. We suspected that the white coverage was Hydrocerussite, so we analyzed it and the results confirmed it as Cerussite. A curiosity from Tsumeb.

Very aerial group of twinned Cerussite crystals whose shape is very uncommon for Mibladen samples, with very smooth surfaces and very well defined prism faces. They are on a Dolomite matrix with aggregates of laminar Baryte crystals.

EV26V1: Cerussite with Baryte

Twinned (cyclic twin) dipyramidal crystals of Cerussite. They are bright, have an intense yellow color and are on matrix with aggregates of pinkish crystals of Baryte and with Galena. A Moroccan classic.

TX87AE8: Cerussite with Crocoite

An unusual association. Parallel growths of Cerussite crystals with a prismatic shape, a color that varies between different grades of yellowish color and that are partially coated by small acicular Crocoite crystals. Traditionally such Cerussite is well known as “chrome-cerussite” but recent analyses demonstrate that it’s a regular Cerussite. An uncommon sample, very esthetic.

Group of twinned crystals of Cerussite with very well defined faces and edges. It is very bright, transparent, with a very nice smoky color and is on a matrix with doubly terminated crystals of Dioptase. An excellent, very uncommon, association.

An excellent growth of multiple twins of thin translucent crystals (so called “snowflake”), very bright and sharp. The group is complete, with no damage, and it is on a matrix of green Duftite with yellow Gartrellite. A great (and beautiful) piece.
