Complex crystal, very rich in faces, in which those of a sharp rhombohedron and a flattened scalenohedron stand out, which gives the whole an equidimensional and rounded habit. Above all, the uniform yellow color, the transparency, the luster and the elegant position of the crystal in the pink Dolomite matrix stand out.

Doubly terminated scalenohedral Calcite crystal with very well defined polycrystalline growths. It is translucent, very bright, with an intense yellow color, with Dolomite and Chalcopyrite on matrix.

17TRX96: Calcite, Dolomite, Sphalerite, Pyrite
Group of Calcite crystals, one of them clearly dominant and very aerial, white in color and outlined with slight twists. The crystals of Calcite grew on a matrix of Pyrite and Sphalerite, and on cream-colored rhombohedral Dolomite crystals, clearly differentiating the area of sulfides from that of carbonates, the latter having precipitated later. A very 'geological' specimen.

MV14AL3: Cobaltoan Calcite
Group of crystals formed by short six-sided prisms and a very flattened terminal rhombohedron, with parallel vertical growths along the prism. The crystals exhibit great luster and very uniform and deep color.

TV96H7: Cobaltoan Calcite
Group of rhombohedral crystals with curved faces and edges. The luster is excellent but the mauve color is extraordinary, very deep and with beautiful shades and reflections.

RB27AE6: Cobaltoan Calcite
Banded growths of cobaltoan Calcite with a very intense color alternating with fine bands of white and yellowish Calcite. The sample, in spite its fine surface, hasn't been acid-etched, as its rough surfaces in most areas and the existence of easily altered carbonates proves.
The sample is from the Joaquín Folch duplicates collection, whose label we’ll send to the buyer.

EA14T0: Cobaltoan Calcite
The sample shows two different generations of cobaltoan Calcite, one of them with crystals having a very short prism with rhombohedral terminations and stalagmitic growths, and a second in which the crystals are slightly clear very well defined rhombohedrons with polycrystalline growths on their faces. The color is very intense and the crystals have small black inclusions.

EZ6Y2: Cobaltoan Calcite
A novelty at St. Marie 2013 (because of the scalenohedral crystals). Druse, on matrix, of very acute scalenohedral crystals with rhombohedral terminations. They are between transparent and translucent and have a color between deep pink and mauve, with a second generation of crystals with the same morphology, but with orange shades.
This specimen was published on the Mineralogical Record´s web page, in the ‘What’s New in the Mineral World?’ section, report #35, August 14, 2013 edition.

A novelty at St. Marie 2013 (because of the scalenohedral crystals) Aggregate on Quartz matrix of very acute scalenohedral crystals of Calcite with rhombohedral terminations. They range from transparent to translucent and have a color between deep pink and mauve, with a second generation of crystals of the same morphology but with orange shades.

Banded growths of cobaltoan Calcite with a very intense color alternating with fine bands of white and yellowish Calcite. The sample, in spite its fine surface, hasn't been acid-etched, as its rough surfaces in most areas and the existence of easily altered carbonates proves.
The sample is with a card from the Folch collection (number 2052) that we'll send to the buyer.

Translucent polished section with banded growths and nucleus of very intense color. The sample has on some of its sides the original matrix that contrasts with the deep color of the Calcite.

RC98Q5: Cobaltoan Calcite
Polished section with concretionary growths with excellent color, very deep. Though we don’t usually present polished samples, in this case we made an exception because of the unusual quality of the color of the Calcite and the collection of precedence, the mine (now totally abandoned and collapsed) was precisely exploited to obtain such pieces.

RC11Y9: Cobaltoan Calcite on Calcite with Aurichalcite inclusions (variety zeiringite)
Cobaltoan Calcite core with a very intense and deep mallow color included in a very pale green banded Calcite whose color (variety zeiringite) is due to the presence of Aurichalcite inclusions.

RG47W6: Cobaltoan Calcite with Calcite and Aurichalcite
Botryoidal growths, on matrix, of translucent cobaltoan Calcite. It has a very uniform, intense and deep color and it is with yellowish globular growths of Calcite and thin surfaces of pale greenish Aurichalcite.

TP27Z5: Cuprian Calcite
Rhombohedral Calcite crystals on a limonite matrix with very well defined faces and edges. They are very rich in blue inclusions of an undetermined secondary copper mineral. The crystals have been analyzed and, although their aspect suggests it could be another species, it is an unusual Calcite with inclusions. We will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

DR91AC7: Doubly terminated Calcite
Aggregate of Calcite crystals, some of them doubly terminated and one that is clearly dominant. They consist of a hexagonal prism and very flat terminal rhombohedra. They are colorless, clear, and very bright.
