NRE26XXX: Quartz
Stalagmitic growths of small Quartz crystals, very lustrous and well-defined, with yellowish-reddish tones caused by iron oxide staining. It has been published in the magazine ‘Paragénesis’ number 01/2025, page 108 The outcrop consists of Quartz veins developed within the Paleozoic basement of the Catalan Coastal Range, hosted mainly by metamorphic rocks (chiefly schists) affected by local fracturing. Low- to medium-temperature hydrothermal fluid circulation promoted quartz precipitation along fractures and joints, resulting in visible outcrop-scale concentrations of geological and educational interest.

Druse of Quartz crystals with hardly any prism faces, shiny, with a very intense hematoidal red color and geometric color zoning (with colorless and transparent edges) and partially covered by a second generation of Quartz microcrystals of a lighter color, all of which completely covers crystals of a very intense amethyst color, which was what was previously being found in this area.

Parallel aggregate of doubly terminated clear Quartz crystals. They are very bright and some of them have fluid inclusions and window (fenster) growths. The sample is from a locality that is a classic for Italian mineralogy.

NX27AL0: Quartz
Pineapple-like growth, complex, very three-dimensional, and on a matrix of doubly terminated Quartz crystals. They have good luster and are between translucent and transparent. The specimen is unusual because the crystals are on matrix whereas the vast majority of Berbes Quartzes are floaters.
It comes from the Miguel David Martínez collection (No. 377), whose label we will send to the buyer.

Polycrystalline near parallel growth of Quartz (milky variety) crystals with a morphology that is well-known with the curious appellation “Artichoke quartz”. It has poorly developed prismatic faces and is translucent and bright.
