Epidote crystals, some of them doubly terminated, with well defined faces and edges, translucent, with good luster and a very deep green color. On matrix, with water-clear Quartz crystals. We will ship the specimen, from one of the great classic localities for the species, in its original Perky box from the Robert J. (Bob) Noble collection, which also contains the label.

For a short time the Aguablanca mine yielded good epidotes and it was fortunate that at that time a mineral collector was there, and he took care to rescue a good number of pieces. I bought this one from him, a big sharp crystal. I remember that before there was a mine in Monesterio, I went to dig there but found absolutely nothing crystallized, only Chrysotile. One more example of the important work of recovering and saving our mineralogical heritage that mineral enthusiasts do.

Noble collection, which also contains the label, which shows that it was previously in the Sullivan collection.

New discovery at Ste. Marie 2022. Curious 'crests' of groups of Epidote crystals with Quartz. We are not aware that this type of Epidote had been found before in Imilchil, which, due to their fan-shaped appearance, are somewhat reminiscent of Prehnite formations.

Fan-shaped growths of Epidote crystals with a prismatic habit and sharp crystal forms, translucent, with bright luster and an intense, deep and uniform green color, on a matrix of transparent Quartz crystals. Mount Zard lies within the Ras Koh Mountains, on the western margin of the Pakistani plateau, where metamorphic and plutonic Paleozoic–Mesozoic rocks are exposed, including granitic intrusions and contact–metasomatic zones. Fissures, small veins, and metasomatic alteration host calc–silicate assemblages, typical of low to medium grade metamorphic environments.
