MX26AK8: Calcite (variety kanonenspat) with Epidote and Quartz
Specimen similar to those reported as a novelty at the 2019 Sainte Marie-aux-Mines show, but displaying distinctive characteristics, apparently due to having been found at greater depth than the previous ones. Calcite crystals, one of them clearly dominant, show a well defined pseudohexagonal outline and are completely covered by a second generation of small scalenohedral crystals, along with both Quartz, in small crystals, as well as Epidote, much more individual and higher quality. We decided to analyze this type of specimen due to its genetic complexity and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.
This sample has been referenced and pictured, as a novelty in Munich 2019, in the magazine ‘Le Règne Minéral‘ number 150, page 45

ER92AK8: Calcite (variety kanonenspat) with Epidote, Chlorite and Quartz
Specimen similar to those reported as a novelty at the 2019 Sainte Marie-aux-Mines show, but displaying distinctive morphology, apparently due to having been found at greater depth than the previous ones. Calcite crystals showing a well defined pseudohexagonal outline are completely covered by a second generation of small scalenohedral crystals, along with both Quartz, in small crystals, as well as fan-like aggregates of Epidote, much more individual and higher quality. We decided to analyze this type of specimen due to its genetic complexity and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

XM2110NFD: Calcite (variety septarium)
Dark brown semicircular nodule formed by a marly rock matrix in which there is a radiating polygonal network filled with Calcite crystals with colors that vary from white to brown, some of them very dark brown. They have shrinkage cracks that originated from loss of water in a mass of clay group mineral gels with subsequent recrystallization. Comes from a well-known locality in the flysch facies of Deva, in Guipúzcoa, Spain. Today it is forbidden to collect this type of specimen as the locality has been declared an LIG (Site of Geological Interest) and only pieces from old collections, like this one, are available.
