A Spanish classic. From the Veneros Norte Mine at La Collada, which is now closed, comes this large crystal (a floater) that is recrystallized on the rear and that has the typical bevelled edges of this mine. A deep violet color, but in fact even more interesting as one can feel the depth of it due to the bluer zone in its center.

TF49W9: Fluorite

Aggregate of transparent cubic crystals beveled by the faces of the dodecahedron. Their color is between violet and blue, with diffuse color zoning. The simple has, on its back, some remains of Calcite that prove the locality is “Filón Josefa-Veneros”, one of the great classics of Spanish mineralogy.

MB47R9: Fluorite

An excellent representative of a very uncommon locality. It is a group of transparent and very bright crystals with honey yellow color zones concentrated in the central areas of each crystal and perfectly clear edges.

ME91D8: Fluorite

From all the Fluorite found at Frazer’s Hush we have picked this one for its beauty, perfection, brilliance, and above all for the excellent position of its very aerial crystals that contrast well with the white Quartz matrix. As with all the material from this mine the color and fluorescence (slightly visible even without sunlight) is great. A fine classic.

AM86M4: Fluorite

From a not well known locality. Group of very sharp cubic Fluorite crystals with a light lilac color, more intense on edges and on small scattered stains on cube faces.

NP9G8: Fluorite

Two main cubic crystals have a magnificent blue color. The degree of transparency varies due to the growing factors. The rhombohedron also appears, forming a bevel.

This floater specimen has deep sea blue crystals with good size and interesting form. Overall it is a good one.

N8DD9: Fluorite

More transparent and brilliant than most other specimens from La Collada, and, as it lacks the typical modification to the edges, it looks more like one from Berbes – but it is from La Collada. Very nice as well!

Group of beveled cubic crystals with polysynthetic growths forming tiled structures on the cube faces. Crystals are translucent and their color varies between the greenish blue and lilac.

NE87S5: Fluorite

Aggregate of beveled cubic crystals of good size. They are transparent, deep violet and with geometrical zoning of their color. The sample is from the site known as the Geoda Destartalada (Destartalada pocket), one of the first found after the reopening of the mining works at the La Viesca-La Collada area, in 1999.

Spheroidal Fluorite growth with crystalline and skeletal growths on the back. It has a very intense and uniform bluish-violet color. For some reason this mine always produced a very limited number of samples, and even less with such quality.

MD89I1: Fluorite

These esthetic and curious globular crystallizations are similar to those discovered at Myanmar some years ago, but they have better quality due both to their size and color and because they are on matrix.
The specimen has been published in the book 'China', by Berthold Ottens, on page 245.

Different is the best word to desire this one, with the classic cubic crystallization of UK Fluorites but a yellow color and unusual hints. It also comes from a locality that is not well known, as one sees few specimens from it.

This group of cubic crystals of Fluorite is especially notable for the locality. Crystals are sharp, with very well defined faces and edges and clearly show very marked planes of exfoliation.

Cubic crystals with polysynthetic growths on some of their faces and geometric color zoning, deeper at the center of the crystal. On the back side the group is partially well crystallized and it is partially recrystallized by a contact.

NP12F2: Fluorite

A growth form that is quite uncommon and that shows off the intense zoning of the crystals. The edges appear to be rounded by the rough forms of the pyramid that, curiously, is not visible in the center of the faces.
