TXT82XXX: Calcite (variety gogotte) on Calcite with sand inclusions
Very distinctive group of Calcite crystals, with the characteristic Quartz sand inclusions typical of the so-called 'Fontainebleau Calcites', associated with a striking globular 'gogotte'-type formation that dominates the specimen and gives it a very unusual appearance. Also noteworthy is the precision of the locality, Bonnevault Quarry, an uncommon level of detail for specimens generally attributed simply to Fontainebleau, and which in this case has been possible to establish thanks to the specimen's pedigree, from the collection of Daniel Leroy. Geologically, these Calcites formed in the Fontainebleau Sands, an Oligocene sandy formation of the Paris Basin. The Calcite crystallized later within these sediments, incorporating abundant Quartz sand grains during its growth and forming the characteristic sandy crystals and concretions of the area.

EA96AK8: Calcite (variety kanonenspat) with Chlorite and Prehnite
New at the 2019 Sainte Marie-aux-Mines show. Very aerial and aesthetic growths of Calcite that remind us very much of the towers of the Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona. Small rhombohedral Calcite crystals have completely replaced pre-existing crystals that our analyses show were also Calcite, presumably a first generation of Calcite. With small platy growths of Chlorite. We analyzed this type of specimen due to its genetic complexity and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

ML13AK6: Calcite (variety kanonenspat) with Epidote
This specimen is similar to the new find shown at Sainte Marie-aux-Mines 2019, but it has distinctive characteristics, apparently due to having been found at greater depth than the previous ones. The calcite crystals, one of them clearly dominant, have a pseudohexagonal outline and are completely covered by a second generation of small scalenohedral crystals, and both Quartz, in small crystals, as well as Epidote, are much more individualized and of higher quality.

MV14AM3: Calcite (variety kanonenspat) with Epidote
Group of Calcite crystals with a very sharp pseudohexagonal outline, some of them doubly terminated, completely covered by a second generation of small scalenohedral crystals, with small groups of Epidote crystals.
