3T37: Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions
Biterminated crystal, with a double termination on its lower part. With the short prism typical of the locality, transparent and shiny, and with attractive inclusions of hydrocarbons of organic origin.

EG46P2: Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions
The sample is formed by two doubly terminated and complete crystals. The smallest has an unusual crystallographic habit. Both crystals are bright and have abundant mobile hydrocarbon inclusions. A magnificent classic of Berbes.
This specimen was photographed for the ‘Über Diamanten und Hyazinthen’ section of the magazine ‘Mineralien Welt’ and appears on page 56 of number 5/2012

TG47Q1: Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions
Group of doubly terminated crystals of very well defined faces and edges and with abundant fluid inclusions with hydrocarbons of organic origin. The most important of the bubbles, on the upper pyramid of the main crystal, is mobile.

TM47N6: Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions
Parallel growth of doubly terminated crystals very different than usual for the locality, resembling Alpine pieces. Thick and neatly transparent, they have a very intense luster and have unidentified inclusions.

NE16M3: Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions and Baryte
Complete Quartz crystal, with irregularly grown faces and dissolution forms (no fractures) on the back side. This crystal shows inclusions and small matrix fragments with laminar Baryte crystals on its surface.

NB87P2: Doubly terminated Quartz with inclusions and Pyrite
Two very bright and well defined doubly terminated crystals with abundant inclusions and with a small concretion of Pyrite. The sample is from a recent find of a big geode in the locality. Unfortunately only a few specimens were saved and complete. The Emilio mine is very well known for colorless Fluorite crystals but Quartz is very uncommon there..

AK76N6: Doubly terminated smoky Quartz
An excellent and interesting miniature. A group of doubly terminated crystals, very transparent, bright and slightly twisted (gwindel) and with parallel growths on terminal faces. A classic Swiss Quartz.

NP26F7: Faden Quartz with Epidote
A fan of Quartz crystals. With them there are small crystals of Epidote. In fact the structure is very interesting, it is a 'faden' Quartz that has suffered some form of stretching. The result is that one can see a clearly curved crystal near the base. It comes from Morocco, but looks alpine.

SV3740EXB: Fluorite (octahedral) with Milarite and Quartz (variety smoky quartz)


A very special piece, a unique discovery made between 2004 and 2005 on Aiguille du Tacul, yielded octahedral fluorites, with crystals that are not very large but are charming, covering the surface of smoky quartz like a tapestry. However, the real surprise came later when it was discovered that some of them had small groups of very transparent Milarite crystals. Of course, one of the few that was saved was in Alain Martaud's collection, and here we can admire it.

JFD241AQ1: Fluorite with Quartz
A good example of what the Reguerín I pocket yielded. I liked its architecture, and that the Fluorite was mounted on Quartz with its characteristic perimorphs of Calcite, which have growth phantoms too and, in general, has more “life” than most other pieces from this pocket, whose specimens generally had larger cubes, but whose overall look was more “dull” than the appearance of this piece, which I always found to be very cheerful.

Very clear floater crystal of alpine-type Quartz recrystallized on the base, with smooth and well defined faces and very sharp edges, and a small scratch on the termination. This specimen, very clear for the locality, comes from the collection of Alain Martaud.

SV390ETE: Quartz
With a little initial confusion due to the lack of precision about the real locality, these “window” quartzes are gradually gaining recognition on the mineralogical circuit. With their luster and beautiful architecture, they are helping to complete the already extensive inventory of minerals from the generic “Imilchil” area.
