A classic among the classics, these bournonites associated with 'Tetrahedrite' have good quality and above all, very good state of conservation, which is not very common in specimens from this locality. The contrast with the brown Siderite helps to visualize the definition of the crystals even better, both for the Bournonite as well as the 'Tetrahedrite'.

Group of prismatic crystals. with an excellent luster and the special feature that practically all them are doubly terminated.

RY30F8: Twinned Bournonite with Quartz
Extraordinary specimen. The cogwheel twin, along with some other smaller ones, is perfectly placed on the matrix and has maintained its brilliance over the years. The locality is also wonderful: Herodsfoot Mine. To add even more to its glory it was bought from Sir Arthur Russell in 1926.
This specimen's photo has been reviewed and published in the magazine ‘Mineralogical Record’ on page 459 in the volume 43, number 4
