SV2440TXX: Acanthite after Silver
Aerial and arborescent growth of Silver crystals with the very marked cubic forms having been preserved, and that has been completely pseudomorphed by Acanthite. The specimen is a Moroccan classic for silver minerals, of which only few specimens are seen in the mineralogical market.

Group of cubo-octahedral Acanthite crystals with very well defined faces and edges and on a Calcite matrix. Well crystallized and well-shaped Acanthite crystals are a rarity at the Balcoll mine, better known for its magnificent samples of native Silver.

One of the first well-crystallized acanthites seen from Imiter. Although specimens with sharper crystals came out later, this Acanthite is not bad at all as it is well accompanied by groups of small pink Calcite rhombohedra.

A magnificent sample, not only for the crystal size and its well defined forms. It is from a classic locality well known for Silver but where Acanthite was (and is) very uncommon.

Aggregate of very sharp cubic Acanthite crystals that coexist with skeletal and hooked forms of the same mineral. The aggregate, on a Calcite matrix, shows a magnificent contrast between the snowy white Calcite and the luster and relief of the very aerial Acanthite.

Centered and parallel growths of very aerial and elongated crystals. They have well defined faces and edges and hollow growths, with a matrix of Calcite crystals. Great sample from the Silvane collection, with a wide pedigree reflected on several labels, one of them from the prestigious Bill and Carol Smith collection, which we’ll send to the buyer.

A novelty at Tucson 2018. Very aerial growth of very sharp octahedral Acanthite crystals with epigenic Chalcopyrite and on matrix with Quartz. The sample has been analyzed and we’ll send a copy of its analysis to the buyer.

Very sharp and very bright Acanthite crystals that are implanted on a matrix coated by rhombohedral Dolomite crystals between yellow and pale brown in color. An excellent German classic that was in the Moutet collection, at Marseille. With the sample we will send to the buyer an old label from the prestigious Deyrolle dealers, Paris.

CR46AM5: Acanthite with Dolomite and Pyrite
Cubo-octahedral Acanthite crystals, one of them clearly dominant, lustrous and on a Pyrite matrix with white rhombohedral Dolomite crystals. This piece, a German classic from the type locality for the species, comes from the Carles Curto collection (number 1968.14), whose label and computer file we will send to the buyer.

TV47AH6: Acanthite with Proustite
Isolated cubic crystal, something that is very uncommon with Acanthite, deformed but with very well defined faces and edges. It is bright and on a Calcite and Quartz matrix with massive Proustite. The sample is from a historic mine, very well known for Proustite crystals but where crystallized Acanthite is rare. We’ll send to the buyer the original label and also a copy of the computer card with the full collection catalog text.

A group of octahedral crystals, very well shaped, aerial and, which is quite rare on the samples from Imiter, they are lustrous. All over the piece there are a lot of small red Proustite crystals.

Very large, very lustrous, this is an Acanthite crystal that stands out for its size and its polysynthetic growths. From the good years for acanthites in Imiter, years that have not returned since there are currently very few good specimens of Acanthite coming from there.

Complex crystal, well defined and elongated, with multiple faces, some of them curved. Really good size, on an Acanthite base with small cubic Pyrite crystals.

EF89L9: Acanthite with Pyrite and Calcite
A novelty from the Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines Mineral Show. Uniaxial and parallel growth of octahedral Acanthite pseudomorphous after Argentite crystals. With very well defined faces and edges, these specimens have an exceptional luster, much better than other Acanthite specimens from Imiter we have seen before. On the back side of the sample one can see small Pyrite and Calcite crystals.

TF86AH5: Acanthite with Quartz and Pyrite
Acanthite crystals with the dominant forms of the cube some of whose faces have very deep hollowed growths. One of the more dominant and very aerial crystals is extraordinarily elongated. They are on matrix with Quartz and small and very bright Pyrite crystals.
The sample, a great classic, is from the David and Emily Stoudt collection of Houston, Texas, and previously in the Kenneth C. Raba and Arson collections in New York. We’ll send the three labels to the buyer.

Well balanced, harmonious, and with elongated Siderite crystals to provide some contrast. This Acanthite has several virtues, being, unlike many others from Imiter, lustrous and not rough surfaced at all.

TX89AN0: Acanthite with Siderite and Proustite
Acanthite crystals on matrix, very sharp, with coatings in some areas of yellow Siderite. Proustite is also present and in general the specimen is notable both for the definition of the Acanthite crystals and for the fact that they are on a rock matrix, which is very rare in this deposit.
