Floater group of scalenohedral Calcite crystals in parallel growth, twinned and doubly terminated with one of them clearly dominant. Translucent, with very bright luster and intense color. An American classic. The specimen comes from the collection of Miguel David Martínez Pérez.

ELR87AP3: Calcite (twinned) with Sphalerite
Group of Calcite crystals, one of them clearly dominant and very aerial, formed by a dominant scalenohedron, terminated by rhombohedron faces, clearly twinned, translucent, lustrous and on matrix, with Sphalerite microcrystals. The specimen, of high quality for the locality, is from an old find made in 1971. The piece comes from the collection of Pierre-Marie Guy who was the one who found it.

TRX87AP5: Calcite (two generations) with Fluorite
Druse of transparent cubic Fluorite crystals, with good luster and a yellow color, on matrix, with coatings of scalenohedral Calcite crystals that have grown in two phases, the first one being very rich in Hematite inclusions, and the second in transparent white crystals. The specimen comes from the Miguel David Martínez collection (number 895), whose label we will send to the buyer.

VF37AE7: Calcite (variety "papierspat") with Chlorite, Orthoclase and Quartz
Floater aggregate of Calcite crystals with oriented faces forming parallel growths of extraordinarily flattened crystals (a habit that is well known as “papierspat.” The aggregate is partially coated, mainly on the back, by Chlorite, very sharp Orthoclase (adularia variety) crystals and small Quartz crystals.
The sample is from the duplicates collection of Joaquín Folch, whose label we’ll send to the buyer.

21NPJ14: Calcite (variety Co-bearing calcite)
Banded growths of pink cobalt-bearing Calcite alternating with bands of white and yellowish Calcite, on a matrix of Permo-Triassic age conglomerate. The specimen has not been polished neither acid-treated, as evidenced by the roughness of many of the surfaces and the existence of easily alterable carbonates. Coming from a classic deposit for Catalan mineralogy, in the western Pyrenees.

XM290TLX: Calcite (variety Co-bearing calcite)
Partially covering a rock matrix are a multitude of small Calcite (cobalt-bearing variety) crystals with a very uniform and bright color. The specimen, from the Alain Martaud collection, is a mineralogical curiosity from the French Pyrenees.

Calcite with an intense color, very characteristic of those that came out many years ago in the Bou Azzer Mine. I bought it from Ali Moudoud when he, along with his brother, practically controlled all the specimens that came out of the mines in the Bou Azzer area. Those were very difficult years but, in a way, also exciting and attractive.
