Group of rhombohedral crystals of very well defined faces and edges and an excellent color. Notice the zonation of the color corresponding to different phases of growth, darker at the center of the crystal with alternating zones of different shades of pink nearer the edges. The group is on a matrix of small crystals of Quartz.

A very 'showy' specimen which would display well in any cabinet.

Druse of small Rhodochrosite crystals with a very intense pink color and with the typical saddle shape. They are with groups of transparent, very bright and clear lilac Quartz (variety amethyst) crystals and with an associated classic: small but very sharp Helvine crystals with a very intense yellow color. These Romanian Helvines, incredible as it may seem now, were regarded as very significant until the occurrence of the Huanggang mega-crystals.

SY28AD6: Rhodochrosite with Quartz and Alabandite
Translucent botryoidal and spheroidal Rhodochrosite growths that have a very intense and uniform color and are coating a surface of Quartz crystals on a finely banded matrix of Rhodochrosite and Alabandite. An European classic. As is the case with so many specimens in this collection, the sample is of great quality for the locality.

Two rhombohedral Rhodochrosite crystals with polycrystalline growths, with a very vivid and uniform pink color and of a good size for the locality. Implanted on a doubly terminated Quartz crystal and covered by small elongated and brilliant Arsenopyrite crystals. High quality for the deposit.

Druse of well-developed rhombohedral crystals of Rhodochrosite, with slight curvatures on the faces and edges, shiny, of a very intense and uniform pink color, and on matrix. Accompanied by Galena and white spheroidal coatings of Quartz microcrystals. From a French collection, it is a splendid example from this classic American locality, both for the richness of crystals and the intensity of color.

Druse, on matrix, of very sharp rhombohedral crystals of Rhodochrosite, with polycrystalline surfaces, good luster, and an intense and vivid pink color, accompanied by tiny crystals of Pyrite. The specimen comes from a find made in March 2019 on a very deep level of the Manuelita mine, and with specimens of higher quality than previously known.

An extraordinary sample. An aggregate of rhombohedral Rhodochrosite crystals, one of them clearly dominant and very large for the species. The crystals, on matrix, are very well defined, coated by small crystals of Quartz, and they have a soft pink color in daylight and a very intense pink shade under any incandescent or LED lamp.
