MBB98CD2: Elbaite (variety rubellite) with Quartz and Albite
Isolated crystal of Elbaite (rubellite variety) with very defined crystal shapes and excellent terminal faces. Between transparent and translucent, it is shiny and implanted in a translucent Quartz crystal with leafy Albite crystals at the base. Its rear termination is recrystallized, similar to the other small crystal implanted in Quartz. A beauty that reminds us of how creative Nature can be.

ML76P5: Elbaite (variety rubellite) with Quartz, Albite and Feldspar
A crystal with very well defined faces and edges and an excellent flattened rhombohedron termination. It has color zoning, dark greenish on the base and neatly pink in most of the rest of the crystal. On matrix, with Quartz crystals, Albite and an indeterminate feldspar, probably Orthoclase. We note the locality, where Rubellite of this quality is not common.

TB71E2: Elbaite (variety rubellite) with Schorl and Calcite
Very unusual with the Sphere of Elbaite at the top complete, brilliant, and well positioned on the Calcite matrix. The lower half of the specimen is complex: there is a thick crystal of Schorl that passes through the calcite and is terminated at its upper end. Around the Schorl is half a sphere of Elbaite, which while not complete is not broken either. Holding this all together is fibrous pink Elbaite. No one could say that this one is not original.

9TQ37V7: Elbaite (variety rubellite), Quartz and Schorl
Polycrystalline aggregates (“mushroom” shaped) of Elbaite (rubellite) with very well developed curvatures on the faces and edges that confer this curious appearance to the aggregate. The sample is very aerial, with deep color and it is on Quartz matrix, with small bits of Schorl on the back. The initial discovery mine was around 1993.

Doubly terminated floater crystal of Elbaite (verdelite variety) with very flattened shapes and transparent. With great luster and an intense and uniform green color.

TM49K1: Elbaite (variety verdelite)
The crystal has an excellent, deep and very uniform color and extraordinary transparency. Its termination, very rich in faces, has a small coverage of an unidentified silicate.

TC21100NBR: Elbaite (variety verdelite) on Quartz with Albite
Isolated Elbaite crystals (verdelite variety), with clean pinacoidal terminations, one of them doubly terminated, implanted in a group of Quartz crystals. The Elbaite crystals are transparent, lustrous, and have a very vivid and uniform green color. The specimen comes from the collection of Miguel David Martínez (number 940), whose label we will send to the buyer and in which it is stated that it had previously been in the collection of Mariano Guillén.

TG48G5: Elbaite (variety watermelon)
Prismatic crystal with the typical a flat pinacoid termination. Very clear, shows a sharp zonation of the color, pink in the inner crystal and green-blue in the skin. Two little crystals below add a special esthetical beauty to the piece.

A powerful Elbaite. Huge size and doubly terminated (the photos show the details of both terminations) is the start. The "piece de resistance" is the color: a very agreeable gemmy green. It has much better quality, luster and transparency than other specimens from this locality.

The prismatic crystals, very transparent and of an attractive green color, have their terminations hidden by the crystals of the matrix of 'lepidolite', which is very well defined and of a nice color, between pink and mauve.

Thick Elbaite crystal recrystallized on its bottom and with another Elbaite crystal crossing it. Minor 'lepidolite' is associated with it. The feature of this specimen is its unusual blue tip.

The elbaites from this mine are very characteristic, with that intense color, between yellow and green, and with their sharp crystals, almost always accompanied by 'lepidolite' and Albite (variety cleavelandite) Aesthetic and attractive.
